How do you handle your work stress?

I have absolutely no idea how to handle my daily work stress. Some people absolutely enjoy their work, and will be happy to stay there 24/7; but it is not me though. Sometimes, I got stress from work, both from my full time and part - time job. I just couldn't take vacation yet, because I still have so many debts to pay off. Within this period, I just have to be patient, and clenching my teeth. The most effective way for me is to get some sleep, and when I get up, I felt like refresh up. Sometimes, I might just lock myself up, and turn up the volume of the TV, and watch all these action movies to express my thought. How would you handle your work stress though?

Hello kingparker, Working your job is really stressful even you like it or not it is still the same because you cannot avoid encountering difficulties in your feild of work. But i try my best to handle my work stress by watching good movies just like you did, eating a lot of foods, talking with my friends and playing basketball. Have a nice day

for me, working environment plays a big role in work stress. when i'm stressed, i will listen to music, sing a song and think positive. and most of all, love and enjoy the job so it will make the working life lighter.

work & personal life should be handled separably & handled carefully wit out mixing one another so that both are in a good situation so our personal life stays good we should lead life peacefully in a good manner money shouldn't spoil our personal life once we leave office that matter shouldn't be carried to house

First, stop clenching your teeth! That doesn't relieve stress and hurts your jaw after a while! I read an article once. It was on exercises you can do while at work, at your desk. Some of them looked like they helped relieve stress. I agree with you, sleep is wonderful!

I consider that you're right that its hard to release stress. To get some sleep is a very nice idea,I try it sometimes, and actully it is very effective. In face,I'd like to together with my friends when Im trouble in work. Even though they cant help me get rid of debt, they can make me feel relax.

just focus at my job and try to relax a bit, even though there's more pressure around it, and be patient with yourself.

Enjoy the work you do,then you will not be stressed. Just think that you are going to clear all your debts when you earn more money. Just have these things in mind and you will be less stressed. Once a while dont take too many things. Be relaxed. Take the way life comes to you. Then you will not be stressed.

In the past I had 2 different jobs and I worked 7 days a week, like you I couldn't take some time off, because I needed the money. It was okay in the beginning, but after a while I found this lifestyle pretty stressful and it started getting too much for me. When I finally got home I didn't have much energy for other things and I spent the time on books, tv or computer games. Sometimes I finished work late at night and then I usually had dinner in front of the tv and tried to relax before going to bed.

Most of us are coping for so many problems and burdens of life. But like you, we would want to get rid of it. And like you, I'm also in bad debt. And this is my best motivator to hold on and endure or handle stress the best I can. I'm making it as my inspiration to look forward if I would able to pay them all, that's the time I would be able to enjoy life. So just bear in mind that you have to love your work for it is the way to set you free in all those stress.

Like you, I also have full time and part time jobs and I get stressed out, too, but mostly because of the schedule and that fact that I have to commute to two different cities everyday which leaves me drained and with barely 3 hours of sleep only. I can just quit and stick to one job if I really want to, but I keep on reminding myself that these jobs of mine are what I prayed to God for to be able to help my family and my future family. I just thank and praise God for these opportunities, my strength, good health, positive outlook, and determination to keep on moving. I think that I am more motivated and determined than stresssed out. And whenever I think or feel that stress is starting to take over, I try to focus on the reasons why I am doing this. It's just a matter of having the right and positive attitude and heart.

I also try to get some sleep. This is what I did especially when I was still studying. No use overnight studying if you're sleepy - you'll forget what you studied the morning after. Now at work, I listen to soothing music. Or I take a long walk, sometimes a walk in the mall . The bad thing I do is I overeat.

I agree with them whether you like your job or not you will encounter stress. But I think it depends on the person how you handle it. For me I don't bring home my work all the stress at work I live it there, I make sure I don't bring them at home. I walk and walk to calm down myself or roadtrip! go to some places nice to see.

for me, i handle my stress work in a way of not thinking of problems in the working hour, i separates my personal problems to the problems coming from the office..so i wont feel too stress and i can manage myself to be cheer up and really motivated.. cause if you think a lot of problems you can not work good and you will always feel stress and bad mood..

I handle work stress by breathing in and out forcefully as this gives me time to focus. Meanwhile, I keep track of what I have to do, and then figure out a set timeline for the things I will most likely accomplish. I've noticed other people at work constantly shaking their legs and arms when they're stressed out, but I believe actions like these will only make matters worse. TV plays no part in eliminating stress, because theres about no stress for me to handle at home. I rather help my wife deal with stress by helping her take care of the salon business she has.
