What's the best exercise routine, jogging or brisk walking?

I am contemplating on what to choose between the two, I think it's just natural to combine the two exercise, right? You can jog and afterwards, do some brisk walking, what do you think?

Brisk walking is the best and safe. I was advised by my cardiologist to take brisk walking instead.

Hi, If you want to shed down few lbs then jogging would be ideal. If It is for fitness and stamina brisk walk would be sufficient. Depending on the age also it is bifurcated normal person under 50 years old can go for a jog. older people could go for a brisk walk. Gym can be for people who love to build muscles like me wish you good fitness Calpro

Hi. frenzylady. Yes. It all depends on what shape a persons body is in. I may just have only the energy to just walk briskly. Jogging seems to always tire my body out at times. Others can do both of each. I know that I can only handle just one.

I honestly think that jogging is not good for you at all, its a bit overrated. It will catch up to you later on in life. You can end up with knee and foot injuries that are not worth it. I think brisk walking is so much better for your body and soul. Taking a brisk walk each day and accomplishing at least 10,000 steps a day will keep you healthy and fit.

I think better do some homework at home such as cleaning, wiping, gardening and etc. But brisk walking and jogging is also nice exercise. For me, as long as you move your body that was exercise. Happy exercise everyone.

I cannot say which is the best exersize, but I have been doing jogging for some years now. After I come back from my work, if the weather permits, I would go out to the park near my house and go jogging for atleast about 30 minutes. Very refreshing indeed. That is my favorite way of keeping healthy. On days when the weather is not favorable, I just do it on a jogging machine at home.

Hi lady Brisk walking is the best, one should swing the arms too, but for persons having problem in walking, there is a machine, here the call it 'walker', you need to place your legs over it and switch on, it shakes them left-right , they claim using this for 15 minutes is equivalent to 10 000 steps walking, i have one and i use it daily..
