Why MyLotters Are Not Using The "My Best Response"?

I'm just wondering why lots of MyLotters discussion does not select Best Response to comments given to their discussions? Did you ever think that giving such courtesy is a way of saying Thank You to those Mylotters who make an effort to answer or joining you discussion? I guess that selecting Best Response to your discussion also gives you an opportunity to earn more. It only shows that you are truly participating on making MyLot more interesting and entertaining. Do you agree with me?

I admit I have many posts without a BR and there are a few reasons why. One, there was no BR or there were more than one and I couldn't pick which one, so I left it.Another reason is there are so many backed up from the 15 months I didn't have a computer, but was still making posts; I don't have time to go through them all. Plus I also forget because though I have posts where there is a BR, that reply comes in early, (Like within minutes or hours of posting) and I have made that mistake before where I selected a BR in a short time only to find a better one come up later that day. (This excludes of course my posts about fixing something on my computer, if someone helps me within 5 minutes and my computer is fixed, I will give a BR right away.)

For me it's all about laziness or the simple fact that I just don't have time. I've got, probably because I haven't looked, at least 10 discussions or more that are waiting for me to "reconcile" them. I kinda look at it this way......it gives the poster a nice surprise when they get a "best response" selection after posting on a discussion months before! Lol. Also, it might spark renewed interest in a discussion that's gone cold. Just my 2cents........

Yeap! I've seen this happening over and over! Late "best responses" ignite the conversations in MINUTES!

Exactly! Lol. So why not hold off on doling the "BR's" out?!?!?! lol. Speaking of which.........it's probably been nearly 6 months or more since I've done it.........hmmmmmmmmm............guess I need to because traffic should be a bit increased over the holiday season..... Lol.

I totally agree with you. It is a compliment or expression of courtesy for one's effort in giving the answer. What I observed is some of them start discussion just for the purpose of starting a discussion and never they look back at what is being contributed to the thread they started. Now I am not thinking much of responses and marking, just giving the best answer I can and proceed to the next topic. Most of my topics, I mark best answers whenever and where ever applicable. That's not the point here. I am just encouraging MyLotter to use the Best Response if you find the best answer to your discussion. It doesn't mean that if you choose him/her to be the Best Response to your discussion he/she will do the same for you? If that's the case your cheating MyLot in itself. Best Response thing is only worth for the comments that you think is best suit to your discussion. Let play fair here and enjoy MyLot.

Imho, they don't select a best response cuz mainly the discussions they start are not really seeking for something specific. Most of it, at least. That's what i've observed here, like what's your favorite food, music, etc..

Yes I think it would be great if myLotters would always pick the best response so as to show appreciation to those who tried their best to answer. It would also somehow give motivation for myLotters to give quality answers pretty much frequently. That way, we would have meaningful interactions here in myLot. In my case, I forgot to give the best response in the past. I started only few discussions though. But I plan to do so if ever I start my own discussions again. Good day! :)

hello play! well,i don't think giving best response can help you earn more. it just can be shown as appreciation to other members who had effort on giving out the best response award. we can't force others to select best responses specially when the topic has soooo many responders. but then,it would be nice to award then. yes, indeed it can feel much happier to accept an award like that. but then, not al of us have time to select BR so they just leave them unattended. or is it the fact that they can't decide who to award then... topics or discussions can be entertaining as well if more members do participate in a single thread. it's like discussing things face to face and giving out reasons and opinions just as long as you won't hurt feelings of anyone. it's a nice way to interact when you know yourself are enjoying every poost you make. no need to wait or expect for the BR award.just give your effort and have fun! that's what matters. it's like giving something when you don't expect something in return. be happy!

Hello friend, lately i forgot that Best Response option at all. Even i answered in a discussion about the best responses, thinking that the discussion is about rating And was wondering why is someone so worried that there is one you can choose as a best response, when you can rate more than one people in your discussion. But last days i started to mark a best response to all of my old and new discussions, this is how i want to say that i really end the discussion, with the hope that the same people would visit some of my new discussions. Actually everyone has the chance to earn money for responding to you, so marking a best response is more special moment you have to choose at the right time. Soon i read that there is suggestion from MyLot a person, who put discussion to wait around a month and then to mark best response, because for that time many people can find the discussion, never mind if it is old and to answer. If you think longer, you will find out by yourself that's true.

I've received best response a couple of times already and I think mylot users are using this. In my case I only give best response to those who really deserve it and is really is the best according to my own standards. It doesn't mean that when you don't give one means you're not saying thank you for their response because you can also give a rating. If you think that it's a courtesy to say thank you by giving the best response then all comments should be given one, but then we would defeat the purpose of the meaning of the BEST if all are the best. I think giving a positive reputation is enough when you think that person's answer is not the best among the others.
