Last pay period, I was docked for a day of work. I was told this pay period, I would get the money. Anyway, I got my check in the mail and not only is that pay missing. I've been docked for a day this pay period. I have to call up. I hope everything was sorted for last time because it really sucks to work two days and not be paid for them.

Keep close track of it and don't let them cheat you out of it. Keep asking and talking about it until you're paid. One of the women my daughter works with was recently shorted 40 hours of overtime - twice. I advised her to go to the state labor board, but I don't know if she will. That's a lot of work to not get paid for.

Can you speak to someone in the human resource department, at which time you can prove your efforts versus what you get paid. It is not right and well if you do not complain they will continue to do so. Good luck hope you can get this straightened out.

Smartie- This is not right at all. Did you keep copies of your signed sub stubs? I'm not sure how the district you are working for works but in the past I always had a sub slip so I could prove what days I worked in the event I wasn't paid. That is your best bet, documentation. I would ask them to simply cut you a second check for the amount you are owed. The they cannot do so I would report them for failure to pay. Namaste-Anora
