I know I have but I have a story about Mum's friend from work that I'd like to share with you. Kath went to see Blackpool play Bolton at the Reebok Stadium, which is, of course Bolton's ground, and she travelled (with her husband) on a Blackpool Supporters' coach. She is adamant that she had "only 2 drinks" all afternoon and that was well before the match even started at 3pm. Upon arriving back in Blackpool she attempted to disembark the coach and got her heel stuck on one of the steps leading onto the ground..and went flying onto the pavement. She only stopped her face from hitting the ground by breaking her fall with outstretched arms. She said the worsed part of this embarrassing episode were the Blackpool fans from the coach banging on the windows and shouting, "How many drinks have YOU had?!" Oh dear, I don't know what's worse..falling over whilst sober or falling over with people around you shouting out that you've had too much to drink..when you haven't. By the way, I've nearly fallen off coaches..they're such a pain to get off!

Sadly I can say I fall over at least once a week on average. Because of my back issues I also suffer from a numb right leg which comes if I sit for too long. This means if I try to stand up with a numb leg I often end up falling straight over as it doesn't support me. The last time I actually fell over which wasn't to do with my back must have been years ago when I didn't see the pot hole whilst walking along and went over on my side.

Oh dear, that can't be very pleasant my friend. I do identify with what you say, though, because my Dad has problems with his legs. It wouldn't surprise me if it's connected with the fusion of vertebrae in his lower spine, not that it's ever been diagnosed but that's doctors for you. Useless at the best of times. The last one said "it's old age" when Dad told him how much agony he was in.

I do not drink. I can act stupid without it. I can imagine how hard it is to get off a coach, which I take it is the same as what we call a bus here. The steps are not designed for any real person to be able to go up and down anyway. I am not sure what kind of creature they imagined doing so.

Well, I can tell you now that I've been completely sober (honest) and have found it difficult getting off a coach, which is due to the very large steps. Even holding on to the rail at the sides (as Kath did) doesn't help that much. I'm always relieved to get off without breaking my neck!

Aww that must have been so embarassing for her. I'm not sure what a coach so I dont know what its like trying to get off one without falling. I've fallen plenty of times when I wasent drunk. The other night I had only half a drink and trust me I was not drunk at all but I had on 4 inch heels on my carpet and I just started to loose my balance. I grabbed onto the guy I was with to keep from falling.

Think of a Greyhound bus and you get the idea. We call them coaches over here..the bigger buses. Complicated I know but at least you know what I'm on about now. I hope your shoes are OK by the way!

I fall over more when I am sober than when I am drunk. I have only fallen over when drunk twice and I have fallen over a million times sober. I am the most unstable person in the world.

I absolutely hate it when that happens, I have not hit mine in a while -touch wood- it might be called your "funny bone" because it is funny for everyone else but the person, who has hit it :p

I bang into things quite a lot. My favourite at the moment is catching my funny bone in my elbow against the corner of a dado rail. Why it's called the "funny bone" I have no idea because it ain't funny when it happens, that's for sure.

Oh yes I have,as I was so upset with a couple people at home and after giving them a piece of my mind I went to sit on my computer chair and did not look and plop it spun around and flip the other way and I landed on my behind. Not only was I so embarrassed at the moment, I felt ashamed as I was still harping on the issue. Pretty funny now to think back but it sure was not at the moment.
