Marshall Islands is a nation of atolls and islands. It is located right by the International Date Line and Equator. It was named after Captain John Charles Marshall who went there 1788. It was once part of German New Guinea and later administered by Japan. After WW2, it became one of US Trust Territory and during that time, the US tested 67 nuclear weapons there. "Castle Bravo" was the largest ever conducted nuclear bomb which was 1000 times more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima.
