Next Time. When I start a Topic..

Post fast - but not that fast

I make sure I know exactly how to respond...fast. Well, the usual problem with us mostly is when we tend to take long comment on our responders because either we are not in the mood or lazy to respond immediately. But here's another thing. What if we start a topic simple because we thought about it, and then a person respond to it, then all of a sudden our mind goes and say (our mind) "Nah, I'll get back to you, tomorrow" Of course, Not all contents on the responding mylotter aren't that hard to understand. but making a good comment based on what you think of what they said is HARD[em]angry[/em]. No wonder some Lotters prefer commenting on those they believed they have sufficient knowledge or "have their say about it" the rest, Thank you for Responding (In his/her mind), but doesn't say that and instead read it and move on As for Me, I've been guilty of it. Since When the Hell did i Become a Turtle in Posting. Just hope it has nothing to do with the turtle i have at the back yard Any Opinion is Appreciated.

I'm not the first to comment back. It's not that easy to do it fast, for me because of the limited time I have in my life to dedicate to MyLot, as I have a real life job that consumes me too much time, leaving little to online life. And also, I think I must have something significant to reply when commenting. Otherwise it's a waste. I particularly like to add something or my opinion about the response, but only a dummy "yes, that's true, thanks" seems useless to me.

Hello Ramres, My friend I admire you for being in mylot even though you have a job, I doubt i can be active in mylot all the time if have a job well, if you come by and comment on you're responses, make sure you aren't tired or emotionally frustrated, because it could really make you regret saying words when you're emotional. i guess work is important, that's good

Good tip, thanks. When I'm really tired, I go direct to bed after dinner, don't even stop in computer. Nothing good can come out of a tired person.

Hello Bnd, That's why am the Veteran. in the first place SMALL QUESTION attracts poll and that can lead into a violation. I don't think that's a question i believe that's more of my OPINION. besides, I don't talk cheap here.thanks

hi letran . I think you may have become a turtle in posting solelybecuse you are a deep thinker and have a lot of issues on your mind. Its darned hard to be enthusiastic about someone else s response if your own mind is troubled. I have been there at times too and just could not post as my mind was troubled. I first had to get rid of the worries that were upsetting my mind before I could concentrate on my friends discussions.good luck and God bless hope you can iron out some of your worries.

Hello hatley, Well, for one thing i don't want to make a CHeap response just for the sake of making a novelic comment i would try to exaggerate. but unfortunately if i think that's "enough said" then that's it. it doesn't matter if i didn't reached the 5 line post that they believe could make even bigger earnings.hey, is being deep thinker bad? thanks

When I start a new discussion I usually write some comments straight away, but I don't comment on all of the responses the first day. I like to return a couple of days later and write some more comments. Sometimes I get responses that I find it hard to comment on, but it is my experience that it is often easier for me to comment when I return some days later. I don't know why, maybe it is because my mood is different or because I am just more creative or enthusiatic some days later. There are days where I find it hard to write and days where I can write and write for hours. If I can't come up with a comment straight away, I prefer to wait a while instead of writing a very short comment.

Hello Porcospino, That's why if am gonna start a topic, i make sure that, at-least i get to understand what they are responding. If I started asking complicated questions, they might give me complicated answers which is freaking hard to answer back.

I am also guilty for not responding to people's comments whenever I post a discussion. Not that I am lazy or something but there are times that I am pre-occupied with a lot of things about work and family. I do hope (like you) that I will be able to do the same - respond faster.

Hello funkeyguhl, You mean "commenting on people's response"(right?). When my internet connection was faster i was really like a flash when responding to topics and commenting on responses. but as i had downgraded my connection, that's when i also downgraded my own speed. sometimes it takes 15 minutes to respond to discussion nor 10 minutes to comment on someones response. sometimes 5 minutes thinking of what to write I am doing my best.thank you

I am not one to start many discussions so I find it quite easy for me to comment on my discussions. But I do see that eventually you get to them sweetie, this is why I never mind responding to your discussions as you never come back with a ok, or thank you. So if it takes you a while to respond and that response is quality, I suppose that is all that matters.

Hello Hardworkinggurl,, Well, it's not fair but just saying "thank you for you're response" or not responding at all. In my opinion, it's like taking those responders for granted for taking their time to respond and topic starter seemed to ignore them. sometimes i do but that's when i forget the discussion unless i see it again with out my comments.

This sounds like my backyard story. Did you notice that lately or it is based on your true experience. When I start one or two discussions I take time to comment to all and it will stretch few days to get round to all my responses. And sometimes in the midst of commenting I have to go back to the earlier responses when they re-comment on my comments. Sometimes I give short replies but definitely I won't go round thanking everyone as I don't see it worth the time and efforts people take to respond to our discussions and only saying a thank you shows the OP wasn't interested in the responses.

Hello Zandi, I noticed this since i downgrade our internet speech to cut expense. In time, i did loose my speed as well since the loading of the browser takes a lot of time for me. i wouldn't go back to those people who ignores responses or just simply say thank you, and being new to english isn't an excuse either.

I attempt to comment on my responses as soon as I possibly can and that is usually within 24 hours but life being what it is, it is not always possible but I do give my responders priority when I work here. I like to have all my responses attended to A.S.A.P. and I like to add a bit of a comment instead of just a thank you.

As long as you can respond. i think that's why they liked you here in the first place. what's the point of responding fast if it's meaningless and not very appreciate to the responder? think about it.

Hello Jean25, thanks a lot for you're comfort, i never knew i was too conscious in posting here in mylot. so conscious that i decided to be careful what I am saying.being honest is one thing but being polite is another i believe.

Some discussions are just too difficult to respond to, fast. Even for me, I need some time to think it over, so that at least I can give a decent and long enough comment. It's ok, you know. Just give your heartfelt comments about it and everything will work out fine.

Hello JUdgeIron, It's hard to think when the response or comment is complicated that makes me think for more than a minute. sometimes i get stuck and move on to other topics to comment or respond to. well, i guess taking time isn't bad, knowing that they knew i can comment on them.

Hi LetranKnight, Never thought that turtles at were infectious I take time to respond to the comments on my posts but I take my own time. Still a day or two are fine with me. I know some mylotters are posting many comments and it would not be wise to keep them waiting on the discussion. But as you say - "The Writers Block" it takes over many a times and hence the delay Cheers, theSids.

It's not always that easy to respond 'fast' although I always try to. But with the time difference between countries I find that I get most of my responses during the night! Also there are times when I go to visit my family for a couple of days and am away from the computer, it is so easy then to fall behind with responses and I can get a BIG backlog!!

Hello Oldchem, Yeah, out side things are such a drag. I was almost pissed this after as i am being bothered with other things. finally i decided to convince mom to be active in mylot once she actually has her own PC.

I never think of my friends they are lazy to comment back my responses. Nor about other discussion starters. It is true, I always expect them to further the discussion, but I can understand if they are not able to do this. Maybe is the time zone to blame, or they are just busy, nobody can be blamed for being late in a discussion. Take me, for example. I like to discuss with one of my friends, here, but when she has time to be on-line, I have to go to bed, because it's 1.00 a.m. I hope she doesn't think about me that I abbandon her, but I really have to go to sleep, otherwise I could be late to work the next day.
