well, mischievous and well just Gissi The last couple of Days I have not been to good, the Nurse came today (who ended up having a little Play with Gissi as Gissi wanted attention) and basically I have an Infection again but it is not as bad as they have been, I have also been suffering with Headaches but well it is all down to our Weather here right now Anyway last Night I was doing some Cards as a Friend asked me to do 7 Christmas Cards lol so I am sitting here working on them, Gissi sat under the Table I work on and looked up at me, I asked him what was up......he just looked at me, so I carried on with the cards, next thing I heard it.....he had wind..... well that was ok but.........he started running round the Living room, then turned looked at his Butt and started to bark, I had to laugh at him.......................only thing was it went on for over 2 hours, by this time I had run out of the words telling him that it was his butt and nothing else Then I got a bit angry with him I mean after 2 hours of the barking and charging about with a Headache is not good, so I told him to quit, next thing I knew he jumped up on my Lap, I got covered in Glitter Glue, managed to save the card I was working on, so the Glitter would not spill on it, and Gissi was charging on and of my Lap barking goodness I only asked him to quit the barking there was no need for him to get that excited and shout back at me, I grabbed him and told him it is enough Well he did not stop till we went to bed which was soon after as by this time my Head was thumping I could not concentrate on the Cards and well I needed sleep Gissi jumped up on the bed, I told him not to bother starting I was not in the mood, he just looked at me all innocent and then snuggled up to me, well at long last I had peace.........................well till he started to snore anyway But I will also say it is good to have my little Gissi back even though he ran into my Legs this morning, I was surprised he didn't knock himself out, he is just so full of Life and it is great Does your Pet at times just totally ignore you?????

My puppies never ignore me, they love attention and if I give attention to one, the other must have attention to..Good to see Gissi is back to his normal self, and being funny...

How old is Gissi?

dexter can't climb upstairs like he used to , although he can still run fast on the lead pulling me behind him. Our stairs are quite steep which are quite daunting for a little shih tzu with short stumpy legs. so he is quite happy for his mum or dad to carry him up and down the stairs. However when it comes to bedtime thats a different matter. He has a basket and of course his own chair with a pillow and blanket downstairs. but he does like to sleep upstairs with us, in the middle of us. but he will only come upstairs when he is ready. Dog of habit, he has his walk, his supper then a snooze downstairs in his basket or chair. then he is ready for bed. Unfortunately he is ready at 1 o'clock in the morning onwards !! but dare I disturb him in his basket when I go to bed at midnight, no I dare not. Big growling noises from a small dog are quite fearsome and talking loudly to him doesnt work either. He just ignores me...totally!!

Dex can't walk downstairs any more, he did for a while, then one morning he was limping quite badly. the vet said he had strained a ligament, but since then he won't walk downstairs at all. I think he must have bounced downstairs and missed his footing. I hope our dear gissi is feeling better XXXX we are all so worried about him

My animals never listen to me. They sit on me, and will not let me work on anything. I have to escape upstairs and shut the door to keep them away from me and whatever I am doing.

I do not have pets, outside of fish, but wanted to say that I am happy your Gissi is back to being Gissi. This will be comfort to you as well, during your healing time as it will bring you some joy. Many blessings to you and all your pets.

It's so good that Giisi is back to being himself. He is something isn't he? lol As I am the one that asked for the cards for another family member...I can say ..it's okay if you can not do them or all of them. Let me know if I need to send more money. I tried to send enough to cover postage and all.I also thought ordering those from you would give you the money to get the ink you needed. lol I'm sorry that you are not feeling well again. I hope you get well really soon. I'm so glad you are not still in that other place or you would be so much sicker! Get well Gaby, my thoughts are with you. Yes, my boys ignore me often. They are something. They know when mom gets upset at them thought that they need to straighten up and quickly. hugs..

When we got Reggie I was the one that fed him..walked him...bathed him...yet whenever I was gone he never acted like he missed me...when one of the kids would be gone for a while he would cry when they got back like he hadn't seen them in forever and they got all the attention! I was just mom. Well he was pretty old when I went to Hawaii for two weeks. I had a friend stay here with him...when I got home to my surprise....he finally acted like he missed me! I cried! LOL...otherwise I was just the old lady that was at his disposal! LOL

Hi gabs, It's good to know that Gissi is back to his old self. I have a cat who is always wants to play, that is unless she's sleeping. I had another cat who completely ignored me unless she was wanting something. Blessings.

Yes dogs can be self centered but for true self centeredness try a cat. Glad he's full of energy again. Now you need to get better also. Blessings

So glad to hear Gissi is back to his old self! My dog Cassie never ignores me, she wants to be with us at all times but my cats, especially Hewy behave, well...Like cats! I will call and call Hewy, he knows his name so he’ll turn to look at me and if I don’t have a treat in my hand I guess he figures he has no reason to come so he doesn’t bother! The minute I call out “Hewy, dinner!” he comes running from wherever he is the cheeky thing!

Hi Gaby..You were on my mind earlier and when I signed on my computer, there you are! I'm so sorry you not feeling so hot and do hope it passes quickly. Christmas is coming and I hope you're going to be back to yourself by then. What are your plans anyway? Mine are going to be quiet, just the way I like it. I will go to my Moms and cook dinner for her but that's about it. I so miss the Christmas that we used to have years ago when my family was more in tact. It was always my favorite time of year and I would look forward to starting in October! Now my family has been reduced to just my Mom and myself and although we try to enjoy the day, its just not the same anymore. At least I have great memories of Christmas past and I will hold on to those forever. I also wanted to mention to you that when Lambchop needs his anal glands done, he behaves much as you describe Gissi did last night. He runs from room to room, turns around and looks at his butt often and barks. That is when I know it is time. This probably isn't the case for Gissi but when is the last time he was done? Poor Lambie has to get done every 6 weeks and he hates it more than anything. My vet has put him on antibiotics for the rest of his life as he is to prone to infection back there and before, everytime we stopped the meds, the infection returned making him really sick. This seems to be the answer cause he is so much better now and has life in him again and acts like he always did before all this gland stuff started. I just thought I'd mention it to you. Hope to hear from you soon and will pray that you get better quickly. Love J

My Shelties are usually pretty mild, but when they think I'm going somewhere and they're going to get to go, they butt me in the butt. I guess their herding instinct kicks in and they're bound and determined to get me headed in the right direction. If I'm prepared for the butt, it's okay, but sometimes I'm not (even though I should be) and they've almost knocked me on my face. But they're so excited to go, I can't get mad at them. When I don't take them along, when I get back, I get the "who are you" treatment...at least for a minute or two.

Sherlock does that. He'll pass gas, and then turn around to look at his rear like it betrayed him or something.

Oh, Gabs, isn't it great that Gissi can help you forget about the headache and everything else when he does some funny things? Binne is also curious about what's happening at her other end. When she passes gas, she looks surprised, as if she has nothing to do with what happened. She looks to her butt to see if there is anybody there. Now, talking about ignoring, Binne is an artist at this. When she's off leash in the "doggie park", as soon as another dog is approaching, she doesn't hear me any more. She totally ignore me.
