Not personally Was his philisophy basically people should do their duty to the community, and individual rights are secondary to that? Yes, I know, it is a very general summary, but it has been a while since I read the works attributed to him.

Heavens, no, if you are referring to the original language, just english translations, and that it has been a while since I last read anything attributed to him. I think that was the gist of his work though, that people should be bound by the duties of the community. If that is an oversimplification, I apologize, and await your correction.

I'm so sorry that so long to get bake to you!! I hope you can read Chinese.Then you can original know he.And you can learn Chinese history, many ancient celebrities,as well as cultural differences between China and the U.S..Chinese people learning English want a better understanding of other countries, because it is good for our own national development.However,China is now getting strong in many countries an indispensable friend,as a friend, you know you from the history and culture to friends please.

I think anyone who studied Philosophy or even Asian History will definitely know Confucius. He is as famous as Socrates. Golden Rule.

I'm an American and I know of Confucius. He's a staple in World History and Philosophy classes. Right up there with Socrates and Plato and all those greek guys. I haven't actively studied him since high school, but I was never much into the teachings of ancient philosophers.

i am very glad that you do know the famous people in the China .and how did you know him and who taught you all the things that you have known , it is very cool that you agree with him who lived in the past 2000 years. of course ,I am chinese ,it is certain that I know the people .even I remember many sentences that the people said .I have to say that it is very hard to remember the sentences lol.
