I am so annoyed right now!!!

This may seem like a silly thing to be annoyed about, but an idiot on my street decided to park his car on the grassy area by the side of my house, which isnt the problem its a public area, the problem is that my car was parked in front of it, so he could have bumped my car while getting onto the grass, and while he was reversing it splattered all the mud everywhere and the one side of my car is covered in it now. Its a dangerous place to park anyway, because its a little bit of a hill and you have to reverse onto it, which is easy if there are no cars around and the ground is dry, not covered in snow that is melting. If his car had skidded in the mud then he would have crashed into my car, thankfully that didnt happen but its covered in mud instead. Honestly if I had covered someones car in mud then I would have at least apologised, and he hasnt said a word about it! I would have even probably given them the money to get it cleaned, theres a place by us that does it for £5, I would feel so guilty about leaving that mud there. Im just so annoyed by this, I can't believe that he hasn't even had the decency to apologise. Anyway thats my rant over with, does anyone else have any idiots on their street that they would like to share stories about, to make me feel better about the idiot on my street?

I live on a cul-de-sac and have a driveway right at the end of the road. You would not believe how many people we've had parking to block the driveway and then having the audacity to yell at us for asking to move their cars. I have two very elderly relatives in the locale for whom my father and I are the first point of contact in an emergency, so it's important that our driveway is kept clear. I had someone block the drive as we were going to see my sick aunt in hospital. We were literally getting in the car when they drove up, I couldn't help wondering what kind of idiot would block the driveway when the people who own it are getting into the car to leave. If it's causing an obstruction, then the police can ask them to move it on (In the UK anyway, but don't call the emergency number, call the local number). You have to ask the person to move it first though.

Yeah we have had the police down here before as people have blocked the turning, making it impossible for people to turn, there was one time where an ambulance couldnt turn so they came down and made it a no parking zone, but people still park there! I think most people should know that your not allowed to block a driveway, if it was an emergency and you had to get out then they would just be making it even worse.

Hahaha, did he have to explain it to his wife, that would have been a conversation I would have liked to see! Hopefully that will teach him not to park there again!!

Sadly, apparently not. We had an incident recently with a gentlemen who was having an affair with someone in our street repeatedly blocking our drive to the point where my dad couldn't get out to take my aunt shopping. Dad ended up calling the police since we had no idea where he was - but by the time they arrived seven hours later he'd moved it. Apparently he got a little visit from the police and had to explain why he'd been parked in our street for some time. so at least sometimes there's justice.

Holy cow! Man, take some mud and put it on his car windscreen! I feel you man. I don't know why but there are so many irresponsible peeps out there. I feel that they could at least say sorry and that would be fine. But just walking off and thinking it is fine, that is a mistake!

Wow, that is annoying!!! I have a lot of stories like that. I knew someone who parked in front of the drive way! How stupid can you be.. so the cars in the driveway couldn't get out. Another time, someone didn't put their car brakes on, parking on a hill and their car rolled into ours... It didn't damage anything, but we couldn't get out.

How stupid can some people be, if your on the straight you make sure your brake is on, if your on a hill you definately make sure your brake is on. The same guy has also blocked someone else in thier space today so it may be war on my street soon.

I agree with some of your posters - put mud on his car! He will not learn until it affects his world.

Hahaha, the annoying thing is that his car is so filthy that extra mud probably wont be noticed! Maybe I wont bother to clean mine and just let it get filthy and then I wont notice extra mud either!

Maybe someone should clue this driver in on where they should be parking. they may not see anything wrong with where they are parking. He may not think he has anything to apologize for. Showing him the error of his ways may be exactly what he needs.

He knows, trust me he knows, but he is one of these people who thinks he owns the street unfortunately, thank you for responding!

I would like to share a story about an idiot on our street. So it's rubbish and recycling day. Together a few of us took out the garbage and the recylcing to our street. Our recycling bin was full so we placed some in our neighbours recylcing bin. Which is okay as the bins are owned by the council. Out comes the neighbour telling us in a rude manner (with several swear words) to get the rubbish out of his bin. We tried to explain that we were recycling, however he did not understand that concept and kept on demanding in a rude manner that we should take it all out of 'his' bin. He even threatened to call the police on us.

I would understand him being annoyed if he had loads to go in the bin but there was no need for him to be rude and swear. If he had loads to go in then he should have just asked you to remove it.

You are right. It wasn't a nice thing for them to do. Why are you getting so stressed out over it??? It's only mud. Wait til it rains. That will wash the mud off. Can you ever find happiness if you allow the little things to upset you??? I remember as a small child, I played in the mud. It was great fun. Mom wasn't too happy but I had the time of my life. The question you must ask is: Is this really worth getting that upset over???? Relax, wait til something really really important happens!!!

Im not upset, I was just annoyed when it happened and needed to rant, and I know that if I had done that then I would do the decent thing and apologise, and if he had just apologised then I wouldn't be so annoyed about it. Strangely enough it hasnt rained for a while, so Im going to get it cleaned. Thank you for your response.
