Hello, Before I get some shut eye. I wanted to ask the people in mylot who has facebook or who knows anyone with facebook. On how long do you guys or do they spend just tinkering with Facebook? And do you think it is a must everyday to check on Facebook? Why? Any comment and opinions about the question is greatly appreciated.

Well, I think that is what you called addiction as well. A lot of people play games on Facebook. But, I hope it does not interfere with your social life though. And well specially your work.

Hmm...I don't frequent Facebook that often, except for one time I checked my PM box for any messages sent by the irresponsible fella, who didn't bother to return me my money after borrowing it.

I check my facebook a few times a day but do not stay on long. Many times I will visit after getting an alert from Facebook saying I have an email.

That is not so bad. Checking Facebook does not mean you are doing something wrong though.

Hi, I know that most of my friends have facebook. It seems like at least one of my friends is always online, which is what I love about facebook. I don't think that it is necessary to check Facebook every day, but if you have a group of friends that use facebook to communicate about homework, event, etc, then it will be wise to check facebook often.

Well, it is 100% true it is not a need to check Facebook always. I think it is actually a want. Well, in my case I don't use Facebook for homework or the likes. I just need it to talk with friends and see what is going on around my place.

Yes I agree with your saying.I think facebook is just so much fun that it is hard to resist. lol. I like how it has so many applications nowadays. But at the same time I think that the applications can sometimes overwhelm facebook, making it look complicated. Have fun mylotting~ ^^

Personally i don't check facebook everyday, but i know people that are addicted to facebook. Not talking about teenagers that they have to keep up with friends.I am talking about grown people that have their phone constantly on sending mesagges or updating their status. In fact i heard that they came up with facebook addiction therapy.I don't know if it is true or not.

Well, everyone is different. Not everyone has the same forte. Some get addicted and some don't get addicted.

No I don't. I check it maybe on an average of once a week and it doesn't take me over 10 minutes unless I find something really interesting, which I'm not reaaly on the look out for when logging in to Facebook. Mostly I just check the notifications, messages and friends requests if there are any.
• Philippines
16 Dec 10
Well, you are one of the few people I know that only checks once a week. Well, some people I know are busy also, so you can never blame them.

I don't frequent Facebook a lot. However, 4 months ago, I kept checking the personal messages folder inside to see whether that fella who borrowed money from me, has any updates or not. That fella is an irresponsible one, he borrowed money but didn't return it, up till now. He's delaying for a very long time. SIGH!

I admit that I use Facebook quite a lot, and I take a look at it at least once a day. It happens to me with all social networks the first months of using them, but I always end up losing the interest eventually, and I suppose it will happen to me with Facebook too when a new and more popular social networking website will be created. Most of the people I know are now kind of addicted to Facebook, but it can't be helped, it's a good way to keep in contact with people who are far from you.

Well, social networking is now very known and well used, Facebook they said is the best. But, is this true? I too have known friends that are addicted to Facebook.

Whenever I get online, yes, I always check my facebook. I am actually trying to grow the number of friends I have there, so.
• Philippines

Wait, grow the number of friends? Well, I try to keep my friends in Facebook updated on what is hot and what is not though. You should also add me up then? Helping your friends grow?

A year ago I spend almost 4 to 5 hours on facebook. It was good that my whole family joined in it was mostly on the games like Farmville and Cafe world that we play. It served as sort of a bonding moment for us. The sad thing is that it grew so addictive that we log in several times a day just to tend our crops and cook our dishes. I get over it and has only logged in once in a while to check on messages and comments. My mom is still playing them though the games I mean.

For us, it's part of our business and we are constantly posting a status and replying to others. So we'll be checking it up to 20 times a day, depending on what the discussions are. For my personal facebook, however, I'll go on it about 2-5 times a day, depending on what's going on.

Well that is totally understandable. Since, for one it is part of your business. Thank you for sharing. Happy mylotting.

I check my facebook everyday. Alot of people on my list usually have something posted that makes me laugh. Plus I play alot of the apps. I could probably go without checking it, but since I have no friends to hang with where I live, it helps to keep in touch on there with friends and family. I don't stay on all day, but I do leave my browser on it most of the day even if I am away from my computer.
• Philippines
16 Dec 10
So, you actually leave your computer open for days? Well, Facebook is a nice tool to get in touch with some people who we do not see everyday. How about Skype or anything else?
15 Dec 10
I used to spend hours on facebook everyday, I would be reading everyone's status, feeding my fish and teaching my dog tricks (how silly does that sound). More recently I have gotten bored with facebook and only go on there for certain reasons, like if Im trying to contact somebody, or if someone has sent me a message. Apart from that I dont really go on there. I got fed up with reading silly status updates, like what people had for breakfast, I dont understand why people post that!

Truly Facebook is a good thing since most people contact their friends and get updates about what is up via Facebook. But, some people are also annoying as well due to their senseless posts. But, that is life.

Greetings I can spend hours upon hours in Facebook. In my case it is a must for me to check Facebook everyday because, all my school works and announcements are directed in Facebook. Group works are coordinated in Facebook as well. So school is integrated in Facebook which justifies my stay everyday valid.
