Yes, folks, it's that time again..countdown to visiting Mum's for Christmas. To be honest, it can't come soon enough for me, what with one thing and another! I only hope the weather isn't too bad. It's forecast more snow on the way tomorrow (when we travel)..towards the north west this time. Mum's area was spared snow to a certain extent the last time due to being on the north west coast of England. There were problems with ice, which is forecast again this time round...with snow as well lol. Come Hell Or High Water we're gonna get there, even it means taking shovels! The motorway should be alright but we do end up on high ground near Shap, which is notorious for having a little climate all of its own. What are your plans over Christmas? Staying put or driving..er, somewhere else? Hope the weather is OK where you are. Stay safe!

I'll be taking the bus into Toronto on Boxing Day to see my cousin and our aunt. I'd like to see my sister and her kids but that's still TBA. Have fun, take a blanket and thermos of something hot with you on your journey in case you get trapped by weather in your car. You may or may not have heard about the 300 or so motorists caught in a snow storm this past week in Ontario and had to spend the night in their cars...

Yes, the same thing happened in Scotland as there's always more snow in that part of the world, compared to us softies in England lol.

We have had no snow yet. I will be traveling about three and a half hours, but it is pretty well all highway. It is a good idea to take a shovel along in the winter anyway.

Have a good time. Drive safe. I will be going home for "Sankranti", the festival of harvest, mid-January. Until then, it is work and more work for me.
