I think so. But don't you think discipline is another key factor to lose weight, because no matter how you exert effort exercising if you can't stop your mouth eating more than you lose exercising, it's useless?

The first kilos are easier to lose. Then it seems that there is an ajustment in the body and that you should be patient. What you are doing is wonderful. Have you tried smaller portions of food? Fruit instead of sweets? No sugar in tea or coffee? I hope this helps. I´m trying too.

First of all, good for you for the progress you've made!
Now, can you afford to join a gym? I've been going to my sisters gym with her lately and it's actually kind of fun there. If there's someone who would join a gym with you, it'll be even easier to stick to a workout schedule. You could also join a program like Weight Watchers, it worked for my mom while she was a member of it.
Also, do you like to swim? Is it hot enough where you live to swim? I've always like swimming, and that'll help you build muscle.
Eating right is of course a biggy! You've taken out soda from your diet, so that's a great start. Drinking water will also help you lose weight. And colder water is better because your body burns some fat while warming the water.
I've recently learned that exercising before breakfast is the best time to exercise, if anything it'll make sure you don't gain any more weight (which is especially important during this time of year!).
Just keep doing what you're doing! It's working. You don't want to lose too much weight to fast. Just keep walking for an hour every evening, and then when you are more ' in shape ' you could trying moving it up to speed walking, then jogging.
Good luck!!!

Are you sure walking one hour and doing household chores make us lose some kg? I'd gladly do that, too. Maybe, I will do some jumping rope, too, so i could lose this ugly fats on my belly.

Hi there.
Have you thought of reduce food intake? taking too much rice could cause too much carbo. So, maybe you can reduce the carbo intake. Replace it with something else.
Remember to reduce supper and making sure each meal are is balance. Balance diet is very important when you plan to reduce weight. Eating less meals are bad. Make sure stick to the right number of meals daily :)
Good luck!

Losing weight is really tough at times. Specially during this time of the year when you can't help it but eat a lot because of the sumptuous food you see on the table or on parties. They said discipline is the main key in losing weight. First you have to check on the food you eat. Less sweets. Less soda. Less fats. Then you have to start a work out routine like what you do. Brisk walking in the morning and evening and some even do aerobics. Some buy diet pills or drinks that has L-carnitine or whatever substance that can help burn fats.
As what my dad said to me before, it's okay to eat a lot during the day, but for dinner eat less. And be sure that you do something to burn the extra pounds that you want to eliminate.

usually when you kind of stop like that it means you need to add a little strength training in. You might also add like 10 more minutes each night of walking. Or add a dance class or something aerobic. It sounds like you are doing great though!! You could cut out some of the starchy foods or fats too if you haven't already.
