An convicted inmate of Oklahoma was put to death with animal sedative, instead of the usual cocktail. There is an uproar by activists about this. I think these activists have entirely missed the point. Death penalty should have been the issue of the uproar. If death penalty is imposed, does the method matter as long as it Humane(??)? I question the very concept of death penalty as I believe this penalty is not even remotely humane. This whole issue is disgusting.

I think that if the animal sedative is as good as or an equivalent to the regular cocktail then there shouldn't be a problem. The real problem lies with the people who have to meddle in things that are of little real concern. Maybe the phrase 'animal sedative' is the problem. If they just used to name of the chemical I bet there would not have been such a uproar.

I think that life in prison, for most horrific crimes, is enough. BUT, I also feel that some really bad acts and those that do these acts need to be eradicated and not put up with any way, shape or form.
