Do you believe that 'How we see ourselves changes how we see the world?'

If we look at ourselves positively and with alot to offer and to look forward then we look at life as an adventure. What do think this says about your self and how you look at life?

Me too. And I believe in Fate, the fickle lady.

It think it's a two-way traffic thing because we are relational beings - meaning capable of receiving change from outside and capable of changing what is outside us.

hi celticeagle dare I hope this resonse will stay? My hubby taught me to look at myself positively but hes been gone a long time and this last two years have not been good oh I guess my being here safe ins tead of wandering between homeless shelter is good if one likes retirement'centersif only they would not regiment us so its a lot like I was in the army riseingf at six this is nonsense.anyway when I do feel positive I see things in a whole new light, that good things can happen and that my son will again get a good job. A new year means a lot og good hopes and may a few come true.

Hi Hatley. Well, I certainly hope they do happen for you this year. Rising at six is rediculous.

I have had a great deal that has happened to me in this entire year, however I do have hope and think positively that things will turn around, so I feel this feeling of hope gives me a more clear and positive way of looking at the world. As when I was so down and negative I could not think past that life was bad, so therefore I find how I do see myself certainly can change how I see the world.

Yes, I completely agree--if you are a glass is half full kind of person, then, even when you are going through a rough period in your life, you will find something positive to help you get through it. On the other hand, if you view yourself negatively, you cannot help but project that negativity outward, so that even positive events may become soured. And, I do believe life is an adventure and should be lived that way--much better than living in fear or self-doubt! Great discussion question.

I agree. Life is an adventure. Self doubt is like a poison.

I believe that if you look at yourself positively other people will see us as a positive person. How you see yourself reflects on how others see you. As a result, you are more likely to get the job that you want and have more successes in life. You have to make things happen. You are responsible for your own happiness. Of course, nothing is guaranteed in life. We all have our successes, failures, strengths, pain, losses, limitations, etc. However, if you do not see yourself positively and each day as a brand new day with new possibilities, then you will not see life as an adventure.

Reflecting postively is very important. We are responsible for our own happiness. But, I think fate walks in and changes things. I always see life as an adventure.
