I did not like the movie and felt it to be a waste of money. The movie was long drawn out and the performances were also below par. Also, there was very little action in the movie. What about you? Did you like the movie? Cheers! Ram

I find it alright , though like a user has said the movie is a bit dark. That I agree. Can't wait for the next coming in July 2011 , if I'm not mistaken.

Well I don't think it waste my money, but I do feel the same like you. It just feel dragged and to be honest, quite boring. I'm a fan of the book, but I feel there is lack of pace in the last installment. Overall David Yates is the worst director of all Harry Potter movies. I hate the fifth movie, good in the sixth, and subpar in the seventh. Cuaron's third movie is still the best.

I agree that the third installment was the best, though I liked the sixth one as well. But this one was really too much for me. Cheers! Ram

Box of Popcorn and a Soda and some movie tickets - Striped box of popcorn next to a large soda and free movie tickets in the foreground. Just like going to the movies!
Nope, it was dark, slow, plodding, and melodramatic. That said, all the actors gave their best. At this point I'm siding with the bad guys! Get it over with! Valdemort rules. So does Ralph Feinnes, one of my favorite actors. Alan Rickman also scores high on my list. It was what's called "filler", or plot furthering, and it's not useful as a film. Usually such filler is cut way back. I'm surprised they didn't. The best part about that is that the next film will be all action. We'll have to wait till the summer for that.

Actually I felt the chemistry between the leading trio of Harry, Hermione and Ron seemed very stony in this movie. You can read my complete review of this movie at http://www1.epinions.com/review/Harry_Potter_and_the_Deathly_Hallows_Part_1/content_534006566532. Cheers! Ram

Hi Ram, I liked this film. I did not like the previous 2 installments. But this one was far better in the story telling department. I would agree however, that it was slow and not very action packed. But it atleast depicted some emotion in the film. The other films (apart from the first 3) were just summaries of the books but this film was different. I do not mind slow movie as long it is told well. It could have been better, but it was the better the other ones. The last part will be far more action packed, I am sure, given the events that are about to follow.

Quite a few people liked the fact that it seemed to wrap the loose ends in the story. But as far as emotions are concerned I have to disagree with you as most of the emotions seemed to be forced rather than natural. Cheers! Ram

I actually liked it. Yes it is slow, but that's how it is in the first half of the book. The action pack part is in the second half of the book where Harry, Ron, and Hermione goes back to Hogwarts, so I'm expecting a lot of action on Part 2 when it is released.
