Facebook doesn't need any introduction. It is one of the most popular (if not most popular) social networking site. With millions of friends and a whole lot of interesting interactive applications, it has become one of those sites where you can spend hours after hours. But is this site worth it??? Are we wasting our free time?? Is reading a book in that time more helpful??? Whatever maybe the answer...We just can't stop Facebooking..

well at some point in our lives we are to used with the monotony of reading so when we are introduce to a new hobby we tend to be into it, rather than go back to our old self. Facebook tend to be phenomenal because of the connection that we have with our group of friends and the pictures. May be for some its not a waste of time, because you are happy seeing the lives of your friends in another continent.

well, I like reading rather than facebook. But, sometimes whenever I'm chatting or checking what's new with my friends accounts, it seems that it's eating up all my time. I'm not addict with this stuff, and mind you I don't often use the internet. But, sometimes I get carried away whenever I'm on facebook. But I like reading more.

I have a facebook account but not really addicted to it. Sometimes i checked on my friends which is very seldom cause we communicate as we talked on the cellphone as well thru text or call. I don't read book as well. So i'll go with the second option..

I'm sorry but aside from both sharing the word "book" I don't see any comparison to reading a book and using Facebook. But to add something to your topic, I can and have stopped logging in to Facebook regularly. I still login once in a while but I only stay for a few minutes. This week, were I counting the minutes I was logged in to Facebook, I bet it would be less than 15 minutes.

When I had facebook, it just depressed me. Now I read, and it makes me happy.

I think that just like mylot there is a thing that says that there are soo many members however just like this site face book sa ys it has x amount of members, but note not all of the members are on there and there are people that have accounts, yet they do not go on the site anymore.I think that face book is a site that people tend to go on nowadays and do not stay on there.I do not read books so that is why i am on this site, as there are more people and more things todo.

Well even though I'm using Facebook and have an account but I'm not addict to it. I also don't spend more than few minutes around the site. So I could say that we can actually read book and do Facebooking at the same time, why not? We don't really read Facebook like how we read a book, they are still far different between each other. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

The day when I have started facebook Iam just involved in it.I read books but if given option I choose to do facebook.I enjoy doing facebook so much that sometimes I feel it has become inseparable part of my life. But we must read books also apart from getting connected to people and peeping into their profiles..I think one must read book rather than wasting time doing facebook.I really want to come out of this addiction..but yes then its true we cannot leave doing facebook

Honestly, it is indeed a great creation of mind. Imagine, he managed to connect billions of people using the internet. That is magnificent. Some might say, nah! just wasting my time. But it is made not just for time consuming drama but also for communication. Probably, it is best use when people have nothing to do and if they wanted to stay connected to their friends globally.
