What are you excited for?

I am so excited for this week. On Monday, I'm going to take about a 30 minute trip to see my friend and then go to the mall with her. Mind you, I don't know how to get there, so I'm relying on my GPS. It will be such an adventure. And I'm nervous, but excited at the same time to venture into new territory alone. On Tuesday, I'm spending the day making Christmas cookies and dying my hair. And on Wednesday, I'm going to get my nails done with another friend. And on Thursday, I'm going to pick up my grandfather up so he can celebrate Christmas with my family. Did I mention tonight I'm going to Sonic with a bunch of my friends? And staying up late to see the total lunar eclipse? I cannot wait! I'm basically jumping out of my seat while I'm typing this. So, what are you excited for?

Wow, sounds like you are going to have a busy and exciting week..:) (But isn't the eclipse tomorrow night? I was going to stay up, but one in the morning is too late/early when I have to get up early the next day.) Anyways, I guess the only exciting thing I can think of is giving my son a Wii as a late Hanukkah gift from me and early Christmas gift from everyone else. (Though when this will take place, I have no idea, I am hoping tonight...lol) Then tomorrow is my son's Christmas pageant, though I am not excited about it, as I am don't embrace Christmas and t make it even worse, it is a "country" Christmas including Yee Haws.. Then sometime this week, I get to order my school books..:) And hopefully if things settle down, I can work more on my story. I am on page 71 out of 300 and would really like to get it finished before school starts Jan 3..

Don't rush the writing. I learned that awhile ago. Then it doesn't come out as good as you want it. Take your time. Don't try to make deadlines. And good luck with it! Yeah, apparently I stayed up late last night for nothing. Go figure. It is tonight instead, you were right.

I am not going to rush it, this story is too long to have to start all over. But I do have to go back, a scene was playing in my mind that I recently edited and I want to change some things..lol But it will get done, I have this thing called perseverance..

I am excited with seeing my Grandparents on Christmas Eve. It has been a while since I have had a chance to see them and let's face it, given that they are up there in age, you really cannot tell how many more years they will have with them. How many more Christmases. Christmas in general, even though its going to be over before I know it. Then again, every year that happens and I am astounded about it but it is true.

I totally agree, Matt. My grandfather is coming up this Christmas as well. He's 90 years old now. I'm not sure how much longer he'll live, so I'm trying to get as much time with him as I can. Have a good holiday!

I feel old reading your post. I'm 29, but I think I must really be about forty years older than that. The only thing I can think of to get excited about is seeing my family open the presents I got them. That's not much, huh? I always enjoy seeing my family open their presents, even if what I get them isn't all that much. I try to put a lot of thought into it.

Hey, Amber, that isn't that bad. You at least are excited about something! Family is something to be excited about though. I mean, you never know how long they'll all be around to celebrate the holidays.

Happy holidays to you too! The trip went well actually. There wasn't too much traffic and it was the first time on the highway, so it wasn't as scary of an experience as I thought it would be. Have fun with your kids this holiday! They are precious.

I am excited as I go back home tomorrow. I have been away for almost two months so excited to return back to my kids. It was my boyfriends closing show today and it sure was bitter sweet. I met so many wonderful people while out here but time to go back to reality. The weather out here has been wonderful as it was in the 4-'s and 50's, so the drive tomorrow till be 9 hours then back to the 30 below zero weather with lots of snow that is the only thing I am not looking forward to by all good things come to an end.

A few days from now, my family will be travelling to Hong Kong to visit Disneyland and the Ocean Park. My kids aged 14 and 13 are even more excited! It has been my dream to bring them there, which is the ultimate destination for the young and the young at heart of course. Last year, I was able to catch a promo from Cebu Pacific (our local airline) which offerred a very nice promotinal airfare to Hong Kong. Can't wait to pack our bags now.

I can't wait for this work-week to be over! The 23rd would be the last day and then I have 11 vacation days ahead of me. That's what I'm excited for. Just to be able to sleep-in in the morning, and just hang around the house would be a welcome rest. A 're-charge' before a surely hectic start of the new year.

I'm excited toward the 3 day holiday from 25th to 27th Dec, we are going to Wahiba Sands for camping and desert safari. Wahiba Sands is located in the Sultanate of Oman. We will ride with a 4WD driving over sand dunes. The last time I had a desert safari was in 2002 in Qatar, but I was told that Wahiba Sand is far more lovely than in other gulf countries. You can imagine riding a roller coaster but instead you are inside a 4WD jumping from one sand dune to the other. I was screaming in excitement the last time and I am so excited to do it again this time. I am also excited to see the Bedu, they are the natives of the place. I am very much interested learning and experiencing other cultures and how the Bedus survive in the desert knowing the harsh living conditions in these areas.

Right now, that makes me excited is when I can joke with my children, can log in MyLot, and can chat with family, though only with online. That all are things that most made me excited.

StephanieAnnC, Compliments of the season and let me wish you a safe and pleasant journey. As for me, I am flying into Mauritius from India today where I'll be meeting up with the company and the rest of my family who will be arriving from Singapore for a week of holidays at the Club Med - La Pointe aux Canonniers. This year the company rewarded us with an all expenses paid family retreat to the Mauritius which I would say is a deserving one, especially achieving a remarkable result despite the challenging economic weather. The next adrenalin will have to be, flying separately without my family members due to my work schedule. Sometimes, I suppose in life, we just cannot have the whole cake and eat it. So, it will be no calls, emails and most of work for an entire week which will encompass Christmas and arriving into New Year. Just can't wait.... Cheers!

You certainly have a busy week! If you want a real adventure, ditch the GPS and navigate with a map. There's a chance you could make a wrong turn and get lost--I've had some of my best experiences getting lost! I'm not excited about this week, we'll have snow and more snow. I like the snow but don't like staying home because of the idiot drivers.
