Another discussion about to bite the dust. why post milestone discussions?

I cannot fathom how people here cannot see that bragging about meeting any kind of a milestone is going to get their discussion deleted!!!!!!! There has been so many discussions here pointing out' what not to use in a discussion and this milestone has been pointed' out over and over so surely some new people have seen these?Your take please.

hi bunny bon oh yes I have got the news, old lady mind your own business. so yes I do not really respond to any newbie discussions'that look iffy and now as I have finally grasped that good in tentions and five dollars might buy a cup of coffer or get you a nasty retrort instead I will not care anymore. let mylot admins do or not do something about people who keep making errors and getting deleted. I simply have had it with people saying why do you care. if they do not understand why I cared then I give up.After all why should I care if nobody else does here. besides maybe the ones who keep getting deleted have only brains the sizes of peas., poor things.

I don't think people see these. They don't browse the site and look at discussions--the type of people that break these rules are money-oriented and don't care to read the rules or any discussions that aren't directed related to their earning. That's why it continues. These people are not here for fun or friends or enlightenment, they are money-focused and therefore don't learn from others' mistakes.

Well these people are giving in to their impulsive reaction and post these landmarks. May be some of them do not know the rules and some of them do not want to know the rules. And definitely some of them are happy with the number of mylotters thier bragging reaches before it gets deleted by Mylot.Seeing the big numbers after successful Mylotters like Hatley also make them brag definitely.

balasri and they really must not be thinking as all the reponses do thy no good as first our responses do not pay the poster, they pay us who responded. secondly a deleted discussion will take away any money that it might have earnerd as deleted mean all earning is also deleted.

Pay no attention to the fools that get upset because you call a spade a spade - it will not become a ladder just because they call it such. and their discussions will be deleted if they break the rules

hi theresaaiza well recently real life handed me a good lesson about all that. its now march20th. on Feb.15th I had a bad fall, broke my nose, blacked my eyes but worst of all it injured my right knee'so much I could not walk on it without screaming in pain.x rays shoeed no broken bones but my nose. so finally they called my doctor who told them to get me admitted to the rehab hospital at once.I spent 20 days in Care HOuse on the 19th day I was booted out as my insurance only covered 20 days. in pain I had to take pain pills yet to be able to walk user a walket .So yes right now I c ould care less let the newbies flounder and if I am asked for help, pleaded for help then I may or may not help. Sincerthe newbies dislike me and some of my friends evidently think I am just a nutty old lady I will forget it.Sometimes help is mistaken for being mean;I was just using co mmon sense but i guess young people have no need for common sense until it bangs them over the head.I give let Diana and Lamb take over. Just that it hurts thinking some feel I am nutty or whatever.odd as I have an high IQ and am told by my own doctor no you are not nutty.

It's because of people who don't listen to us, or make us feel like we are not being heard, which make us sound like a broken record. I understand you because that's what some "crusaders" like mysD, or Lamb, and many others like you are trying to push. But some people are just too hard headed. One thing I get from what one responder is saying here is that it's become a waste of time, and this is getting you more frustrated. It's consuming you. It may not be healthy anymore. Perhaps you could learn to ignore these people. Let them be wiped off from the face of myLot for all you care. Then move on. Just suggesting.......for your own good. But hey, I admire your cause.

Hi Hatley, Some people are just desperately wanted to post a new discussion and they must have forgot all about the rules that they have to obey. Some people will just post anything that they can think of at the moment and their mind only thinking of the money that they are going to earn from the discussion and did not think about whether their post will be deleted or not, so don't be too upset because of these people, just do not bother and when their discussion being deleted, they will know about it. Be happy! Merry Christmas!

hi Merry Christmas I have been accused of caring too much a nd asked why do you care. now I do not know how to answer that. I thought I had thge right to make a discussion on any topic I chose too but have been told I am just an old fuss budget, oh not in those terms bvut it was implied. I should never have ever given my age.here in the Us and among younger mylotters old age is a no no and we should just quietly fold our tents and disappear. well I am not going to do that.but now I am not going to bother, not anymore.

Hi Hatley dear, I've seen many milestone type discussions slip under the radar which makes me think it must be a certain few milestone topics that are ok maybe...or maybe the discussion isn't about the milestone reaching itself ? I've seen a proliferation of discussions by a few people lately all about the same thing...that being, what NOT to post. I'm seeing them over and over and I'm thinking doesn't this come under the heading of "Make sure you search for existing topics before starting new discussions. "?? Obviously that particular Guideline doesn't hold water because what we have to the right of a discussion is a column of Similar Discussions. I'm confused by the contradictions so I guess new members and maybe even some more experienced members can be confused too. Hugs to you.

msTickle yes there are some mylot just does not see really or they' would delete. but all this aside why do not all of us read the 'information as even if its not completely clear it will really help to know what not to do. why be in such a rush as if you make poor quality discussions they will just be deleted and you still will not have earned anything? so rules are not perfect but still they will help. or does anyone care anymore? all I c an say is do not come crying to me'newbies if you get your discussions deleted as you could have read the rules and known what not to do but you made the shoice not to' know what you are doing!!!!!!!

Hatley -- Your discussions about Alice are way more interesting than those covering your concern about the discussions of others being deleted. If the discussions getting deleted are posted by your referrals I can understand your concern. Otherwise, I'm curious about why you care so much. It seems to me that these posters aren't listening. They aren't following your suggestion that they read the guidelines. If my comments are rude I apologize. I'm just tired of you posting the same topic over & over when you have so many more interesting topics to post.

Congratulations on reaching 38,458. Why don't you do a discussion about it? (evil grin) Same old story, newbies make mistakes, some of them learn, some don't, and there are always scofflaw rule breakers who hope they can get away with just enough to slip by and make payout. Doesn't contribute to the site being very interesting though, does it?

I suppose the reason for such disregard of the rules is because the people posting such discussions probably cannot think of anything else to write about! I generally avoid posts like that because they more than likely will be deleted by admin anyway. It’s not fair on those who do respond though because it is wasting their efforts and time.

hi paula I am begi nning think that mylot admins needs to make getting into mylot much harder. make them show they have read gthe rules.lots of sites will do something similar before you areallowed to post anything. here they just hope the newones read the information, ' there is no check and thus a lot of newcomers refuse to read what is there to help them so they keep losing discussions and blaming 'mylot when its their responsibility to learn the rules.

It seems to me that we are constantly reminding people when they are doing things that are against the guidelines. There are some people that tend to take this to heart and don't make the same mistakes again. However, it seems that the majority of people are those that don't listen to what we say about these kinds of things and instead persist to do the same things that they've been doing in the past. Because of this, I think that for me it is best that I don't waste my breath on talking about milestones.

The chances are the posters have not read the terms of service for the site and failed to research the topic before posting and not only that, they feel its an easy few cents with another post under their belt. People wonder how so few users as a percentage lasts here for months and years after joining, if you don't follow the rules one doesn't belong here. Certain sections are not even worth reading anymore due to the copious amount of spam and guideline violations taking place. * Rant Over*

I know. I don't understand it either. You are the most prolific poster here on MyLot, and I tend to hover around 5th or 6th position, and you and I both know this. I feel no need to start a discussion, if it is only going to get deleted. Some people just don't know better I caught onto what you are talking about, the day after i joined. Some people just never learn.

The only reason why people still post milestone discussions is it does not entail much brain juices to start off with and that it trapped many to respond. These are the landmines that we should avoid as it is a one way ticket to mylot bins. The only way to teach people not to post these milestone discussions and to avoid going down with them is to avoid these discussions. It is a waste of time. Let admin do justice to them.

Hello Hatley. I am thinking that if no discussion was ever deleted, the mylot data storage banks would be at least 25% more full at the moment so perhaps it is a good way if you take this in consideration. On the other hand, and leaving all joke aside, even a milestone discussion, can become a discussion if made right and if having a different main subject and just a mention of the succes - but i guess it's better to avoid mentioning the mark at all. There are many people here that don't read or forget the terms here of posting at mylot and that is why i am waiting for a mylot admin asking for suggestions as i have one about this: make the terms more attractive to all people - a dear friend - was it you ?, was suggesting dancing kitties between the lines but i would suggest some kind of remuneration for reading the terms - maybe even a quiz from them. Take care dear, Alex.

hi elitess yes that was me in a whimsical mood but your suggestion might really work if mylot admins did offer a little money for reading the information and quiz them and maybe a small sum for geeting the answers all correct. lol almost all newbies come here first for the money so any little sum would entice them to actually read the information thus helping them to have fun here and also make some nice earnings for themselves for a change without the usual deleted discussions that broke all the rules. how refreshing that would be.. y
