well its hard to avoid stage fright but my older sister taught me a few tricks. one trick to avoid it is to never look at the audience as looking at them may make you nervous.instead look at a clock that is usually behind the audiece.itwill seem like your looking at them when your not

This is always described with the same symptoms. Sadly there isn't much you can do about it. There are meds you can take that help but the majority of it is done in your own head. A popular way of meeting it half way is to picture your audience without any clothes on. I guess that is supposed to turn it all around and make them nervous and anxiety ridden. Deep breaths and some mental meditation will help too.

When you practice for a public performance, maybe you can try performing in front of a few people first. Also, you can visit the place or stand on the stage/platform where you are going to perform a day before so you can get a feel of it. And, prepare well before the performance because if you know you've prepared well and there's nothing that could go wrong, you'll have the confidence to perform in front of an audience. Last, just do your thing on stage and don't mind what others will think of you. If you still feel those symptoms you have mentioned, take a moment so you can do some relaxation or breathing exercises before going on stage. Hope these help. I'm no expert but I hope they can lessen your stage fright. Instead of being afraid on stage, you can think of it in another way and perhaps enjoy performing on stage?
