I've done quite a bit of web surfing in my day and I've also had to do a lot of research online that involved finding very specific information and the one thing that I have found to be the most important thing to do in order to get effective search results is to use clear and concise key words. For example, if you want to learn about kidney stones in general you would use "kidney stones" as your search term. However if you wanted to learn about the treatment of kidney stones you would use the keywords "kidney stones" and "treatment".

Make sure you are using the best search engine. Put in key words that you would think of if you went to search for something. Try to think of it from the other side. You are writing what you want to learn or find. Be basic, don't get real broad in phrases or words. Complexity will only complicate the search. Like if you are looking for trees. What area? What type? Be basic, then feed off of that if you don't get specifically what you want. You may not be able get what you want in one step. But continue to learn what else you need to add to the search to get what you want by what you are getting. It may take three or four steps.

Just be very specific when you are searching, put the most important things in ""..
Don't forget putting Dictionary Links. For example: like if you are searching for sport shoes search like this:
"Shoes" and sport and running and soccer...
