another reason but is it fact and scientists wasting money

Scientists have come up with another reason why we wear our watches on a certain arm. I always thought that I wore mine on my left hand because the winder would then be nearest my hand and if needed to wind it up it would be easier than if it was on my right hand and the winder near my elbow. Then we were told that it had something to do with us being left or right handed. Well yes this sounds good but my mum and dad were left handed and my brother and me right handed but we still all wore it on the left arm. Now scientists have come to the conclusion that it all depends on what side of the road we drive on. Being in England there is a good chance that I wear it on the left because i drive on the left. Americans on the right as that is the side they drive on. I wonder how true this is and how much it cost us for the scientists to find it out and how long they took.

I think it depends on the person! Hahah. My sister wore hers on her right hand and I wear mine on my left. We are both right handed and live in the US. I wore mine on the left because it would bother me when I'm doing things with my right hand.

maybe women wear it on their right because they see ladies watches like a jewellery. men wear wathes in the left because men's right hand need to do all the hard work and activities. check this out if you want to see nice ladies watches - http://hubpages.com/hub/charles-hubert-ladies-watches

it is not a big deal, one wears watch in the right or left hand the one would not the watch in any way. this is a free country anyway..

The pressing issues of our time! Hopefully this was funded by Rolex or Swatch or w/e and not by taxpayers via government grants. Not that I don't find it interesting, but I don't wear a watch.

Interesting. I always wear my watch on the right wrist and I am a right handed guy, and I live in India where the rules are - stay to left when on road. These scientists can be so very confused at times... I wonder some day they would come out with something more rational But the modern trends say that watches would go obsolete soon and so they kind of hurried their research

I agree with you that the study may be a waste. For me, although i am a right handed person, i have taught my left hand to do certain things. Therefore my conclusion is that it takes practice and not at all depends whether you are right or left handed.
