Right and left brain.

I heard that if you cross your arms over your chest and the left arm lands on the right and this is most comfortable for you, you tend to use your right brain. When you fold your hands together, interlacing your finger, and your left thumb is about your right thumb, you use more of your right brain. But what about shoulder bags? I have the strap hanging on my right shoulder and the bag resting on my left hip... does this have anything to do with my brain? Or how I am a goofy foot for snowboarding?

I don't know if that has anything to do with your brain or not. I do both the arm crossing and hand folding..lol..it might be because I am both right and left handed.

Yeah, to move the muscles in your body, you use the opposite brain of whatever side you're using. That's good that you exercise both.

I do the arms crossing and finger locking so I am using my right brain. I did not know this. But I always hang my purse on my right side it rests on my right hip, so is this using my left brain. I wonder now that I think about it that I am a libra, so I suppose I shift from right and left brain so that means that I balance things constantly, no?? This interesting I am going to have to search for more information on this as it intrigues me to know that I use both sides.

I'm glad you find interest in this, since I do too, haha. But yeah, I heard that people who can do both are very well balanced and it is beneficial for you since you can be logical and creative at different times. They say left handed people use their right brains a lot. It's good to exercise both. I'm right handed but I do all of the ones I've listed on this discussion with my left, so maybe I'm balanced too. I hope!

Well, I must be right brained then, because both those tests proved that I was :) I always thought I was the opposite! Interesting. I like to wear my purse on both shoulders...when one arm gets tired, I switch. I wouldn't know about the snow boarding.

I don't know if the shoulder bag thing has anything to do with right/left brain stuff, but it could. I have a shoulder bag too and I think I tend to put it on my right shoulder the most, but as I walk or shop, I tend to switch it a lot so that my shoulders don't get tired. Do you tend to do this too? It can be bad for your back to carry the weight consistently on one side or the other, but if you have a tendency to put it on one side, maybe that has something to do with your brain.
