So what did you do with the left-overs?

Cooked my third turkey yesterday. Made mashed potatoes and stuffing from scratch as well as the gravy. There was some left-overs so out of the mash potatoes I made hash browns for breakfast. Out of the turkey I am making soup. How about you, what did you do with the left-overs?

My favorite left-over turkey dish this year was the turkey tacos I whipped up for lunch. The took about 10 minutes to make and were a big hit with my family. I just pulled apart some turkey and tossed it in a pan with some garlic salt, onion, powder, and cumin. Then I put it on tortillas, topped it with onion, salsa,& cilantro, and served it with a side of rice. It was super easy & that's what I look for after holiday cooking!

I don'g want to waste the food. So I will add some new ingredients to the left-overs and then cook it together. It will be another nice dish again. I love China

I cooked a turkey the other day- not for the holiday, but just because I had one in my freezer. Aside from just eating the leftover meat right out of the refrigerator, I've also made turkey salad sandwiches and a turkey pot pie. There's still quite a bit of meat left (there are only two of us!). I'm thinking that for lunch today I might make a grilled turkey and swiss sandwich on rye. The rest of the meat will probably go in the freezer to be used in soups or casseroles later on.

Leftover mashed potatoes I always use to make potato soup and turkey gets made into turkey noodles. I love having left overs because you can always make what my family called a left over sandwich. To make one you would place a slice of bread on your place spread some mashed potatoes over it and top with some turkey and then stuffing and then top it off with gravy and that's how you make it. I used to do it with other leftovers too but the holiday left overs always come out best.
