What is a quality content?

I have read in the guidelines that we need to post quality content to earn more. I thought that a quality content is when there are many responses to it and there are no guideline violations and little to no spelling mistakes. I have my spell checking on when writing so it signals whenever I have misspelled something. And still I don't get more than for a regular reply or a post which has a single response. Can anybody explain me how this thing works?

Yes you are right if you putmore quality in your posts then you will get paid a lot more no matter the size of it it could even be 3 lines long they dont care as long as it will give you a long clear answer to other people that might be searching that question on the wweb this is how it traps members and gets them to sign up to this wonderful site.It is also good to get responders so that then you can make more money from commenting on there posts and even saying thank you for posting if you have too.I normally find debates are the best for attracting people that wanna chat and you can earn a lot of money for the comments on them if you can some how get the members to come back for more and more.I done this a long time a go now and i mage a lot of money really fast within like 30 minutes.People will also get to know you and know that you only post quality the better you get on here and the more active you are.

MyLot do not define "quality content" but it is not difficult to fathom it out. This is a site for discussions (not questions and answers) and we earn by discussing and furthering the topic with responses and comments. A quality discussion is one where there is participation from the user who starts it and interacts with those who respond. The starter does not earn for the responses that others post, they do. A quality response will not repeat something in previous responses (that is why we are told to read other responses before posting our own) but will be interesting, original and add something which furthers the discussion. Spelling is of less importance. MyLot make it clear that users from all over the world are welcomed and that gramatically correct English is not frowned on. Text and chat style though is not quality. Rambling on to make a longer post but with nothing of substance in either the topic or response is obviously not quality. Just my 2 cents

I lose many cents too but never mind. As long as someone learnt something new that is so rewarding too!

Oh I thought he meant I earnt with my participation, not directly from admin Thinking about it though, if we all follow what myLot suggests then we all get our two cents back from myLot - and much, much more too if we are diligent and patient and work at understanding how things work.

I have re-read your topic and I have one doubt: ' I thought that a quality content is when there are many responses to it......And still I don't get more than for a regular reply or a post which has a single response.' We do not earn anything for the responses that others post on our started topics - they earn for them. We earn for what we post therefore you will earn for commenting back to those responses. If a discussions has 10 responses and another has 100, unless the starter comments on them, their earnings will be the same and very small.

In my opinion, a quality content means that the posts are longer, at least it's three lines. And the discussions can have more responses. I love China

Thanks Youless for your insight. You always have such high quality opinions and thanks for sharing them. Of course, a longer response will more likely contain actual substance or 'meat on the bones', as they say in America. And, a longer response as you mentioned is likely to be more relevant to all members. Some people say that you can give a short response and still make it quality, but I don't really think so. At least, not me. For me, it takes many words. And, the more words that I type, the more I am able to fully explain my reasoning or justify my stance on an issue. While I don't have advice for others on what constitutes 'quality' when it comes to posting responses or discussions, my own advice to myself is fairly simple. Just find a discussion that sparks your interest and write from the heart. When you see a discussion that inspires you, then the words will flow from your heart and end up on the page. If you feel truly invested into a discussion, then you will easily find the words to say. Also, as far as quality goes when a member starts a discussion, I would try to introduce a topic that others might like to discuss. I'm not known for my short responses or short discussions. I like to foster conversation cause I like to talk. I can't imagine a world where I couldn't talk or type and converse with other people. It's just part of me.

It is not only the responses that make a discussion. It is the COMMENTS that further the topic and turn it into a discussion that count too and those can be short and concise and straight to the point andmake much more sense than a post that rambles on and on. There is nowhere in the FAQs that myLot explain the defination of 'quality' and nowhere either where they state how many lines are needed to count towards earnings.

Quality dontent is more than just a reply to a discussion., it is what you put your heart and sould into,, Quality content has to have some meaning behind it to be worth anything.

mysd above explains it so elequently as she has done a great job at explaining quality. What I always tell anyone asking is that; make sure you post about something that there is plenty of room for you to come back and have plenty to comment back with. I have seen a great many of posts where as members simply say, thank you for responding and this by no means is quality, in fact will get deleted. I have seen a great many of your posts and rappeter you have nothing to worry about. One thing to remember is that if anyone says in a comment, go to my profile and or provides a link.. Skip that comment and do not reply as this will lead to others furthering commenting the same and all your efforts would be lost. I can't begin to tell you how many times members do this. I have at times commented on such, knowing very well it will be deleted. I do so just to track if in my memory the type of member and routine pattern. This later saves me from continual interactions.

When this question is asked by a user who has been here for quite a while and is obviously interested in what we have to say, I am inspired to go into things more in depth than I would on those discussions by users who joined the day before. Many of them don't even bother reading the responses and go about it their own way. I felt that here was a different situation and I hope I am right The only thing I see lacking are a few comments here and there which would bring in higher rewards for his efforts - but I am hoping he will try that out too

I am imagining yet another successful myLotter... He usually does a pretty good job at responding to all, and am hoping he really reads this entire discussion in its entirety as he then will gain and feel good about all his future posts.

Yes you are completly riht there like i am doing know the few extra comments everyday can really help with your earning especially if you can manage to find or start a debate with new members coming and older members coming back to argue some more.I did do this once and we earned quite a bit of money as long as you stay with in the guidelines mylot dont have a problem.

I think they are trying to make MyLot don't turn like other forums, for example in yahoo answers there are many people that come and answer a question "how the hell should I know?" but receive points. I got the feeling MyLot also wants to be a source of knowledge so they are trying to make us just to answer a question if we really know how to and if is a discussion to participate with the heart or something like it.

I think you are absolutely right katie! MyLot is a site for discussions and is completely different from all the other types of forums/paid-to-post/question and answer sites and if we can help them keep it that way too then we will continue to be rewarded for years (decades even?) to come!

YEHi think the same mylot want to be differant from all them sites that you can get answers off like wikipedia they want to stand out and pay there members so they will try there best not to go donw that route and to keep paying there members for there participation and efforts.

It's easy! Talk about something modern, up-to-date, slightly technical and extremely interesting and - no replies. Tell us about your cat being sick on the carpet and - BINGO! I don't understand these people either!

I am with you on that, Suggar. I just feel a little more diversity is needed. I do draw a line at talking to a dog though! Why is everyone so serious? A little laughter makes you feel good too.

Yes, you are right, little change would come really good. I'm bit annoyed because of all Christmas discussions, so i'm waiting some new air around to come and the spirit to change. So many topics about gifts, meals, celebrations Like Grinch i'm getting little sick of it Everything, which is too much, is getting annoying.

Hello Petersum, we all are different people with different understand about "interesting" and "not interesting", may be that's why some people feel touched by some topics and don't feel touched by other topics. I, by myself, love to talk about my daily life, because i have no one to share my real emotions every day and when i come here i feel more than good when i write about something usual and normal.

I am also not clear about quality content. Some discussions I post fetch many replies and some get two or three responses.Whetver I get an idea I post a discussion.Similarly I post responses as ideas come to my mind.I depend upon on my luck only in this respect...HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Write an article about a topic you understand well enough so that you can provide as much information as possible. You will only generate an article of poor quality if you will write about something you yourself do not understand and may not do. Reason why we should have quality content: I often go and take the content from the famous blog, turning it a little and finally posting a new article. This "forced" if I do not really have an idea for writing. Because this will not help to get new readers. It would be better if you can write about something you see on other blogs, and give credit (review) to the author, and in this case you will help advance the blog than your blog. This is much more "civilized" and you also can get good quality links.

Its all about how much you know about the discussion. If you are really interested in the topic then you want to say more than normal. But if you just there for whatever then you are just going to go with basics.
