Are you an over eater? It has been observed that many people eat too much at parties, weddings and gathering where there is food. Also, too much of eating make people uncomfortable and as the food is tasty people likes to eat and drink more. Do you eat more in such conditions?

I eat big meals, because I am a big person.
There are times when I over eat too- but it's just rare. Mostly, I eat when I'm hungry and stp when I'm full. People should really know when to stop.
Although it's very tempting to eat more in parties.

Hi dear,
Here I got so much of similarities with many people’s eating habit. Even I feel so. I eat at meal times but always exceeds the required quantity. Some time while having food, I used to tell, see now this is the best level I can stop and there is no need any more to eat. But after saying that, I will each that much again. My wife used to ask me, they who is compelling you to eat more. Haha…
All know such habit is not good, still eats!?

I eat a lot when I am celebrating. And those special foods tend to be things that are high in sugar and salt. I over eat when I go to a buffet style restaurant as well. Then I eat until I am just about miserable. This is a time of year where we really think about overeating. Not only that, we do it a lot. We think all those foods make us happy, but it really can make us feel miserable.

Hi dear,
Most of the celebrations are associated with a heavy feast. And if in a good mood, all are pleased to eat more and it is a kind of pleasure to have food in such occasions. You are right. While eating, we won’t think much about the after consequences. Sometimes, it really would be miserable.

Hi dear,
Yes, over eating has its own consequences. In fact I met a person yesterday and walking together for 10 mts. (I am looking for a bank loan and talking about the officer). He is around aged 55 and is an advisor to the bank. We come out of the bank to go out for some work and he was walking weirdly. I offered him for a taxi but he denied.
He said, he had a diabetic paralyses, a year back and advised for bed rest for 4 months, continuously. He had a heavy eating habit regardless of what he get. He liked sweets and eat oil food, non veg. etc. and finally now under strict control.
So, we can eat as much upto a certain age limit and better to control as and when we get aged. If we observe a proper eating habit and controlled food with clear guidance, we can keep healthy upto whatever age. Hope you are fine now and doing well.
Have a nice day and regards,
Thank-s

Hiya thanks,
Can be just a little bit but then I balance it out very quickly the next Day. I don´t starve myself either but I get right back on track. Tomorrow for example will be another one of those special meal Days but I am controlling tomorrow and the Day after. My kids get away with it as they never put weight on well not yet anyway.
All the same I will eat mostly fresh stuff all I can and that fills much more and better than the sweet things which I like but not really that much either. I don´t care for very sugary things.

Hiya thanks,
Actually I kept my word I eat mainly fresh food and this makes for more enjoyment and you can even fit in a little tiny treat there too.
So I only eat a tiny treat not very sweet either. I don´t care much for sweet things anyway.
The first special meal I did not go overboard either but did not each so much fresh Food as the second time around.
But I do love to eat. Happy New Year. xxx

Hi dear,
Thanks for your comments.
We can eat whatever we like but only issue is that it should be restricted to the best limit. Sometimes, the matter is we will each as much to the optimum and if there is more food, keep eating and will not stop until we feel to stop. If I am with a group of people, this happens to me. All will sit and chat and eat and drink. But as I don't have the habit if drking much, I will go for eating more. This in turn is not advisable.
I think your attitude is good, as you got a moderate food habit.

Hi Thanks,
I cannot have my choice of food at these party these days. So I have reduced going out to them. No It is not only for the food but I cut a sorry figure when someone asks me - did you try this or that and then I say - I am unwell and cannot consume all or any of those.
But I miss the food and the eatery. I love foods but on these special occasions they are mostly more spicy than I can handle. So I have just to keep myself satisfied with the small things - I still eat out the Ice Creams

Hi Sid,
Food nature is exclusively depend on everyone's choice. A balanced diet and proper food habit make everyone helps to keep a healthy body and thereby ill-free style body shape also. As we all know, there are people who keep a heavy intake of food at different times a day. Even though it is not advisable, by habit, they used to take such heavy meals.
Appropriate food at a moderate level of proper food is the ideal one which keep us healthy. I will be out for 3 days and wish you and your loved ones my hearty new years and good wishes. Wish you good health and prosperity in the coming year. Still try to log on from somewhere if I get time and will get in touch with you all.
Best regards,
Thank-s

I'm a conscious eater. I don't like to over eat, be it in any occasions. Before i attend any parties or dinners, i will be sure to drink a lot of water, so that by time i reach the venue, i'm not that hungry. Much as i'm tempted, so long i'm full, i will not make my move for those food on offer. My bf tends to overeat a lot, but it's all right for him because he needs the energy.

Hi dear,
I think women are not so over eater and they restrict food due to various reasons. Many are scared of their body conditions and they know that oily and excess food habits would increase the weight and thereby lose the body shape. One way it is good because after eating a lot of food, unwanted body shapes and illness would be the result.
Also, having moderate food and better healthy conditions are the appropriate way of eating. However, as compared to girls, man prefer to eat more.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi dear,
Thanks for your comments.
Yes, sometimes all are having such a tendency. Even though all are not prefer to eat more than required, depend on certain conditions like wedding, parties, special occasions, etc we will eat more alongwith friends and others. But it doesn't mean that we always eat a lot. For me, rice is being a major part of our food I used to have more in quantity and it is not advised also after a period of particular age. For youngsters, it is not so complicated but people who crosses 40 and above, should have a control on over eating and heavy food habits.

Hi dear,
In fact this matter we discussed last week. We had a marriage party and I eat too much of food and my friends also did the same. As we were late and so hungry after a long travel, we feel good to eat more and as it was cold, it encouraged us also.
Mean time, there were so many VIPs attended the wedding. We noticed that they are, especially the ladies accompanied were so well dressed up and they hardly eat anything. As this was the subject matter, my friend said that they are the senior level people, partner, director and all and they do have such parties in most of the days and for them it is a regular practice and they won’t each much. Also, as they are the VIPs people must be observing what they are doing, moving, thinking, talking etc and if someone notice that they are having more food, it will affect their image and they wont’ eat much in front of the crowd gathering. I don’t know how much it is true, but one thing is sure that I have noticed that such won’t eat much in a public gathering.

Hi thanks: I do. I fell sorry to admit but I usually eat too much on these occasion, I don't know why but I control myself in relation to food. When I am on a diet I can stop eating for a month for example but I have to be very strict because I know that from the first day that I break my diet I'll be in real trouble and I'll eat like everything I can imagine and that's sad.

Hi dear,
It is like me here again.
Every day I used to think that tomorrow onwards I will not each much and will control my eating habit. In fact I decided that by 1st Jan onwards, I will control the food habit and reduce the quantity. Now it is 3rd Jan and I am sleepy now after eating the heavy lunch along with the friends. I think I can tell that I will stop, but when the food comes in front, I will forget all my pledge and immediately after the food, I will remember - hahah – it is a kind of cunning plan. My wife used to say that ‘your plan I am hearing from the last 15 years’ – so now you can imagine my way of appetite. Even my children also make fun on this subject.
However, I have given instructions at home that after I come back from office, I will do physical exercise for 15-20 mts. And if I don’t do it, you will get the slap, I said to my daughter. Then my daughter replied, if you do exercise, you will get slap from me – because, I never do it. I will tell like that. Even my daughter is telling, I am fed up with this daddy, I think from the since my 4th birthday onwards I am hearing that my daddy will do the exercise from tomorrow onwards – I think his tomorrow is not yet arrived…. hahaha

Only when I am under a lot of stress is when I eat a lot. I know that is strange, because you would think that your stomach would turn. I think that I do indulge a bit more during the holiday season, but really, I doubt very much that I am alone on that one. Still there are times where overeating could be a problem, but its just off and on.

Hi dear,
For me, if I am stressed, I cannot eat much and I will not eat also. From my observation, I each a lot of food only when I am so much hungry and tasty food around. If I love a particular food, then I am so attached to it and if at home, there is no control, I will just demand it. But not in one stretch, may be after 2 hrs and again after some time.
Still have a feeling that we need to control food habit to a minimal when we are not feel like having more in quantity. Some time I will have more even after the optimum level depend on the food nature.

Hi dear,
Yes, in fat I think what you do is the correct way of eating. If it is habituated to eat, they way you are doing is the best one. Instead of eating a heap full of meals in one sitting, it is advisable that eat little bit after 1-2 hrs of break. It is sensible. We will get fresh food, and also we won’t get tired due to heavy food. Also, it is advised that go for lesser quantity of food before sleep at night but I used to have heavy food before dinner.
Some of such habits are not good, and dong these wrong things by knowingly!!! I think I should stop this habit.

Hi dear,
It is really fun and you said it.
In parties and weddings, what you said is really happening. For good eaters, it is a place for eating. Lavish and plenty of food, and free of cost. Some people really mean it and used to eat more food, not joking, I know some people were commented also directly to me when I was in a gathering for a social celebration party. But it is fun and people eat more in such occasions.
Thanks for sharing your comments.

Hi dear,
Yes, after a heavy food, we always feel lazy and feel sleepy. As our whole energy is used for digesting the food, we will get tired and need rest. As I used to have lunch with a group of people and would share the food at certain days, if all get variety of foods. As always we used to share the food, the eating will go more and after that i used to feel so sleepy and some time I cannot even concentrate on work also.
In such times, I just step down 8-10 floors down or up and will regain normal. But sometimes I used to make a walk of 5-7 mts. and will come back to office. Still, if the food is heavy, I am sure that I will be sleepy. Even now also, I am full and feel sleepy now, as I just had the lunch. Many people brought sweets and other things after New Year, return from vacation to office.

Yes...I am overeater but only during occasions. I still remember, when I was a kid, I didn't use to have food in lunch whenever i used have dinner party. And oh my lord!!! How I used to eat at the party...u cant even imagine... My parents used to scold me a lot. Now too...I used to go to parties. Lot of food I used to eat. But what I seriously feel is that over-eating actually makes a person very much uneasy, uncomfortable. I cant even properly walk after this. So..I am trying to control myself.

Really!!
No wonder, even I do sometimes like this. Especilly, wedding parties, office parties and all, I used to have more food. If there are friends and other around, there is no question how much, it is the optimum. But the last part is so pity that we cannot even feel like walking. Just take some taxi and go home directly. But I used to control now a days. If there is non-veg, and tastey food, I will go on eating and I should feel when I should stop!!! Of course, not every time. Occasionally all depend on the food and the company around.

This is a big problem in this day and age and from what I've heard it comes with the good times that most western countries have been enjoying since the last world word. There has been an abundance of food and crops etc and initially the feel-good factor has caused people to eat to excess. Then when they are not feeling too good, they associate food with feeling good so use it to try and feel better about themselves.
I did get roped into this sort of thing in my teenage years and luckily didn't put on any weight or cause much damage, but later in life, I put on weight easily and had to deal with it, but eating sensibly. It was difficult at first, but with a bit of discipline I no longer even look to over-eat.

Hi dear,
Thank you for an immediate resonse and nice comments.
Yes, recently peole are found crzy on foods and they prefer to eat more. I happend to see a round table eating hall there a group of people were having food with enormous quantities. Ininitally I felt they may be having fun on food with those many people. But nearly an hour time food and drinks they eaten up the quantity of around 30 people by about 9-10 people.
Many be it is of the peculiar climate, people would feel having more food. Once they completed the food, I saw few of them were really trying ease up their obesity issues.
I think excess food make us a lot of problems for few hours. Even I started eating more in these days. Think of to stop but, when food come in front it is a pleasure to complete whatever is in front.

I have definitely had my share of overeating, especially around the holidays, with friends, at parties, etc and it really does make you feel gross..Physically and in your head. I hate feeling bloated. I try to listen to my body and eat just until I'm full - food tastes better that way!

Well, it would depend on what my goals were at the time and how committed to them I am. Sometimes, yes...I want to relax, have a good time and not worry about what I am putting in my body. I have gone through holidays and have been very committed to my lifestyle and eaten very little. I do know, when my wedding approaches and I am eating at the reception, I will certainly enjoy the food that has been prepared!

Hi dear,
I think we all are the same in this mater. I got a habit of eating dry fruits after dinner. Normally we have dinner around 10:30 and I will sit with computer for 1-2 hrs or more in most of the days. Around 11:00 pm I will start this eating of dry fruits and feel like eat more and more. I will stop for some time and will continue again. Assuming that this is the last one. But in some time again I will go to kitchen and grab hand full of some other one and try. So, finally I will pick of 3-4 variety of dry fruits and will feel some bad mood after eating all these nuts and fruits.
As it tastes good, I don’t feel to stop. But I know it is a just an excuse and I think I need to stop such things to maintain the good health, especially after dinner, having such dry fruits in more quantity is not advisable. This habit started recently and I think I will stop this habit, if there is no stock of the same at home only.

I am guilty of being one of those people that you've mentioned LOL. I tend to enjoy eating because I am with other people and with a crowd who enjoys the food that is served. Honestly speaking, I prefer to eat with a lot of people around the table than by myself. I tend to not have that appetite when eating alone. Although I know it's not good but you enjoy more, you love to eat the food served (even if you have eaten that over and over LOL) because you're with a group of people. I don't think that it can make you uncomfortable but it does slip your mind that you've already eaten a lot until you feel your tummy getting heavier LOL. Anyways, I believe there is no harm in eating more during gatherings or special occasions but ofcourse watching your weight and how you eat afterwards when you get home that matters.

Really!
What you said is correct. If we got a gatherig and we have food altogether with many people, it will be more fund and talking and chatting, we will eat more. Also, we will enjoy the food more also. Some people like to be alone or with the favourite person around. If we got special friends or b/f or b/f, people normally won't eat much because the they may be enjoying the discussions much more and having food will be for only name sake.
Even I like eat with more people surround to table and spend more time over there. Thanks for your comments.

I used to eat a lot and crave a lot when I was younger, but I think that's normal for my age at that time. Today, I just eat whenever I feel hungry and that's all. Nothing more, nothing less. Eating too much would certainly lead you to many diseases specifically targeting your heart, liver and kidneys. Eating less on the other hand does the same thing but more of affecting your brain's functioning and probably decrease body tissues repair, and also decreasing body's resistance to environmental diseases. So I make sure my diet is well-balanced and getting what it requires to properly function. Happy MyLotting and see you around!

Hi dear,
This is the way to do and this approach could make us proper healthy conditions and body looks attractive also. Many people, especially after their 40s have bulky obesity and the body shape also loses. For men, he normal body shape will lose if we start over eating or the excessive drinking habit also makes unbalanced body shape.
However, the food control and a proper dieting is always advisable for maintaining the shaped body and it will be attractive also. Many are of the view is that the intake of food at a time can be less and mall quantities of food at different times also keep good instead of going for a heavy food at a tiem.
Wish you Happy New Year.
Thank-s
