My body aching as if the rib-cage became loose

I am with my son’s family in Hyderabad, though I travelled by 3tier AC as usual, my body ache persists, I feel as if my rib-cage has become loose and all organs are dislocated. I know they are not; it is just kind of feeling though. The compartment, in which we travelled, appeared to me like it has been converted to 3tier AC from second class sleeper in a hurry. The glass windows are not fully transparent but painted light blue, you can’t see outside clearly. The entire coach shakes violently as train moves; one can’t use the toilet, there is every possibility of falling down. Due to all this, my body is still aching and I feel all organs inside detached. Have you ever had such a bad journey by train, air, bus etc? Please share.Thank you so much in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

I've been lucky that most of the journeys that I've had in my life up to this point have been smooth journeys. There have been a couple of trips that I've taken in an airplane where there is some turbulance, but it has never been anything so terrible that I wasn't able to deal with it. I hope that in the next few days you will start to feel better after your journey, I can only begin to imagine the discomfort that you are experiencing.

hello professor, i guess a really good rest would make you feel better. the bumps in the train surely did that to you. now in hyderabad - something you said is not in sambalpur, a hired massage, home service. it is probably there now. why not try? maybe that would make you feel much better? do take care of yourself. have a nice day. ann

You may want to see a doctor and get a chest x-ray. My grandmother had four broken ribs and she said it hurt whenever she sat, lied down, or moved a certain way.

Hello my friend, Yes I have had many journeys in the past where I was pleased that it was all over. I have never quite felt as if my organs had detached before. It just felt as if my joints were fusing together through sitting the same position for hours on end when driving. Journeys by train here in the UK are OK providing it isn't in commuting hour when it is crowded. Because of the size of our country they don't tend to be very long either. _Derek

What is 3tier? Yes, I have had similar experience as you. I traveled once to the Mountain Province to climb Mt. Pulag, second highest mountain in the Philippines. At that time, the highway was not cemented yet and we rode a multicab. We were bouncing up and down inside for several hours. It took me a few minutes before I could stand up again. I suggest you take an ibuprofen for the aches and pains.

As we age the 'nuts and bolts' in our bodies are loosening. That explain why we feel our bodies aching when traveling on long journeys, more so when the mode of transportation used is not comfortable. I usually go to the spa for body massage after a hectic travel. Probably you can try that out.

When I'm on a bumpy ride I just don't let it bother me, I just remember the time when I was a kid and I always prefer to seat in the back seat where it is so much fun, especially when we pass by humps and yes the underpass,so it takes out the stress because the bad experience is being replaced by good memories.
