Are you a discussion killer?

I think I am a jinx. When I respond to a discussion it stays that way forever! I look at my "responded" tag and there I am! Last response from ME. The whole page is often that way. Actually, I think that I'm online at the wrong time because other people do respond later on to many of the discussions. But it is worrying! I think I'm getting a complex about it. Do you have this discussion stopping killing power? Can you shatter a poster's hopes in one quick comment? Am I becoming obsessed with mylot?

Are they old discussions that have been stagnant for a while? A lot of people don't respond to those for me too.

Maybe they don't understand your intelligence, haha that's what I tell myself sometimes. I sometimes don't answer when I'm lazy... maybe they're lazy.

No, they are new - normally within a few minutes of existence when I respond. That's the worrying part!

Hello Petersum, when we participate more and more we start to ask ourselves strange questions sometimes. That's what i do lately, looking all the details if there is something wrong. Few months ago i decided to be more responsible around, to take my membership more serious and to participate with more pleasure, hoping for more earnings. Actually everything is going o.k. with my plan and i started to check my "responded" section often, started to participate in the little chat boxes with the others, it's more and more fun that way and i feel my time really worth here, since i do it. I don't think that someone around is "discussion killer", but i believe that because of the much discussions around, lots of us miss some good discussions, because the pages are changing too fast. During my time here, sometimes i check what my friends post like discussions, but it's really rare, i like catching topics and this is where it's nice for me to participate, because i got something to say there. Doesn't matter if someone would think i say nothing, doesn't matter if someone would think that i say something important, i participate because of myself, because i feel pleasure when i share my point of view and if someone got something to include, it's getting better.

Yes, it's all about having fun. We can't get too serious or we really would go crazy!

There are many discussions regarding this issue in mylot. Some mylotters are good starters but not good commenter. Avoid them as our efforts have some values.

I never worry about that because I know that if the discussion is interesting enough, there will be others to respond, and then I won't be the last one to respond. It just really depends on the discusion I think, and then too, some do take breakds and so they arent' in here all day. I have seen some post as night, some in the morning and some in the afternoon, and some overnight as well. I am not sure it really matters. I just post whenever I am here, but mostly during the day, as that is when I am in here. I wouldn't worry to much about your response being the last one, as that has nothing to do with it. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Well, the new year is over and most people are up and about after three days. Day or night, someone is always here! Good luck to you too!

Mylot is a time killer, I suppose. Rather than idling, might as well interpolate our ideas in this site and hope that some soul learn a lesson or two from our brilliant minds. And that is what you've been doing, peter, interjecting truth and negating fallacies. That is why nobody answers after your response! Ooops! You are not a jinx, peter, and I think this post is an ego booster! And you know it! Peace, man!

I don't think I have killed any discussions. At least none that I have seen. I doubt that I am going to give a post that is either of two extremes. One being a post that is so bad that is going to really just make people run for the hills. Then again there is a post that is so good that people have nothing else to add. Therefore, I think that I have not killed any topics. I think that a lot of times, it is just you coming in late to the party. Really I think that there are times where there are topics just do not have that much interest. Therefore you tend to be the last person. I know that's happened to me sometimes but I really don't worry about it all that much. The topic has just really played out.
