Now Where Did That Come From?

Last night my Swagbucks was at 380, and a minute later without me doing anything they jumped up to 430! I got 50 Swagbucks for nothing.. what the heck?
So I go to the site to see where this came from, and it said "Holiday Bucks". Now I know they'd been doing a promotion, if you took a screen shot of holiday bucks you could get 50-200 SBs or something like that.. but I never took a screen shot of my holiday bucks.
Did anyone else get a free 50 SBs yesterday?
Have you ever gotten extra points or money on a site and not know where it came from?
Hey.. I'm not complaining! Before the end of today I'll have enough for my first Amazon gift card and I haven't been a member of this site for even a full month.. so I'm really happy with that!

im still so having trouble figuring out how to get the gift cards into the amazon account. i cashed one just to see, but dont know when or if or how long it takes to get there? yes every once in a while, when im playing pogo, it will pop up and say ive won a swagbuck
since ive downloaded and am using chrome, i dont seem to be able to get the sw toolbar on my screen. for search

Games- I believe they e-mail you a code which you then type into Amazon.com.

Weird, you get Swagbucks for playing Pogo? I didn't know that.
I think they only send out the gift cards once or twice a month.. not sure. Did you read the FAQ?

I have heard of it, but it has not happened to me. Yes, the points do add up quickly. When I am doing a bit of searching I have actually cashed out two or three times a month. You can do so up to five times a month, I believe. Have fun.

That is what I've heard. I believe I may be able to do 2 a month if I keep doing searches the way I have been this week.. though this week has been easier as I've been searching for places to submit job applications.. so when I want to go to Pizza Hut's website I do a search for Pizza Hut. I won't be job searching forever so I believe the points will slow down soon.

Whenever someone mentions a place I do not know here, or on Gather, or on SideTick, I go search for it. I search when I watch the evening news. I earned more when I was freelancing though.

I didn't get 50, I only got 10. I didn't notice the promotion of taking the screen shot. I noticed mine jumped up 10 without me doing anything. I didn't bother to check it out lol. If it had gone down then I would have checked it out. I've been searching on there, but the one day I did like 5 or 6 searches and got nothing and today I did one and got nothing. I know you don't get it every time, but I'm running out of idea to search lol.

I only search when there's actually something for me to search for.. which lately has been a lot because I've been job hunting so I type in the name of a company I'm looking up to see if I can apply online. Then I've been trying to do more on Triond so I'm searching for info on whatever topic I'm writing about. I've also been updating some Squidoo lenses so I have to search for pictures for those, etc. It's been a busy week. It will be dying down shortly though.. like today I didn't have much to search for, I think I only did one or two searches and got 10 SBs.

I have never heard of Swagbucks, what type of money earning website is it? Also are people from the UK able to receive payouts? I like websites that payout monthly or more frequently :)

It's a point earning site. You do various things to earn the points, shop, take surveys, search the web, etc. Mostly you redeem your points for prizes, but they also have gift cards and a payment to Paypal option. I am not certain if they accept members from the UK, you'd have to go check that out.

You do searches, shop, or take surveys to earn points, which you can eventually cash out for prizes or gift cards. I'm using mine for Amazon gift cards. There's a link on my profile for more info.

Honestly I don't know. I've heard if you collect all the special edition swagbucks designs you could earn a bonus. I don't even know how to do a screen shot so that would definatly leave me out of the loop.

I used to have a program that took screen shots.. but I lost everything when hubby restored my computer, and never thought to put that back on it. So I never took any screen shots.. I am clueless as to how I got this bonus.
