I am interested in making cards, after watching a friend of mine making them for a while, i am going to give it a try. This week in an afternoon we are going to break the day up with abit of card making.I hope that we are going to make this a regular thing, as i know a few other people that are interested in doing it as well.I think that it will be great as we can chat as well as craft at the same time, also we can go halves on all the material that we need, so we can buy in bulk and get a better discount.

Good for you!
I am glad that you are getting together with your friend for a little crafting, a little coffee and a lot of talking.
Doing crafts together can be a lot of fun.
Happy day!

I use to, I just don't like getting everything out then having to put it back. Right now I am trying to do a scrapbook photo album and so far all I've done is gthered the stuff to do it! Everything is all over my table! I keep saying I am going to but I guess it just isn't me.
My church has a scrapbooking night and a cardmaking night each month and the ladies get together (guess I'll have to take my scrapbook down there and do it!) they have a great time!

That sounds like a great idea. When you make cards with a group of friends you can share the materials, inspire eachother and chat while you are working on the cards. Some years ago I made cards with some friends. I was a member of a creative workshop where we able to sew, knit, paint, make cards, make jewelry, make sculptures out of clay etc. We paid for the materials that we used, but we were able to use the workshop for free. Sometimes we all made cards, and it was a lot of fun.

I think you will have fun and success with your card making craft because friends working together is fun and most times you will stick with whatever you have chosen to do. There are a circle of friends that have been doing scrapbook projects for a very long time, on a weekly basis.
Crafting can be a very good way to take our minds off of the business of our day and gives us time to just relax and have fun with friends. And, if it is profitable that is good as well.

A few months ago a girlfriend of mine and myself were looking to start a group that was about women getting together and from that Busy Hands was born. What Busy Hands is is a group where we get together once or twice a month and take our crafts and chat while we work on our crafts. I don't really think that there are any two of us that do the same thing, but we always have a great time. We've already had our meetings for this month and I already can't wait for next months to come around.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Are they greeting cards? Will it be like scrapbooking?

That is such a great idea! I have only made a few cards, but there are so many ideas out there and if you are making them with your friends, you can bounce ideas off from each other. And, that is such a great way to spend the afternoon...almost like a quilting bee...in college we called it "make it, take it!" You should have seen the things we came up with!!

It's a good ideas. I still like the handmade cards instead of e-Card. I believe that you'll be successful. Good luck!

I just became a stampin up demonstrator so I could make cards for everyone--I am tired of paying $5-6 for a card I can make myself for $1, and have fun doing it! A group of friends and I are going to get together every month or so to make cards, and I hope to get good enough to run a few classes. Have fun with it!
