I bought my wife several non stick frying pans for Christmas, her pots are stainless steal. I got her mostly Farberware pans, but her pots are from Regal. What type of cookware do you use, and what brand if you know it do you use? Are you happy with your cookware.

The only one I've ever been quite happy with is Wal-marts Wear-Ever the pots are going on 10yrs old and no problem. Now if I could find a frying pan that would last me more than I year I'd be pleased. I do think though I may have to convince hubby to go cast iron, but I can hardly lift one *LOL*

I have Regal soup pots, and sauce pans etc. They came together as a set. I got them when I first got married 21 years ago so they have lasted me for a very long time. They are still in really good condition too and I don't see them going anywhere soon. As for frying pans though I have been through tons of those. I use non stick pans and the non stick stuff usually ends up starting to come up eventually and then the pan is no good. My husband got me a large Farberware one for Christmas and that is a very good brand so we shall see if it lasts longer then the others.

We have several types. I have a bunch of stainless steel ones that we had before we got married. I guess it was my poorman's version of All-Clad - ha ha - but they did the trick. For our wedding, we had some All-Clad in our registry, so some kind relatives and friends got us those. Admittedly, I still use the poorman's version (the brand is like Phillips or something like that) because they are so light and convenient. I think I only used one All-Clad pan thus far . . . the rest are still in a closet at my parents house in the box! The All-Clad is awesome, but kind of heavy and we have storage issues at the moment, so that's why I haven't brought them all here. Oh - and we do have some non-stick. I don't know the brand, but I bought a set from JC Penney - they are heavy and I love them as well. Before we got married, we had the poorman's version of those too - but they were light and ended up getting scratched and sort of rusty - threw those out. Yes, I'm happy with my mixed cookware here!

I have used a lot of different cookware over the years. I used to like using non stick frying pans quite a bit. Now i am more into cast iron. I seem to have a lot better results with cast iron cooking.

We received a nice set of Lagostina pots last Christmas. They've been really good, but tend to get a gasoline look to them after some time of use. I find that a lot of food actually sticks or burns to the frying pan, but I might have the temperature too high, as I've heard that with these, you don't need as much heat as you do with cheaper frying pans.
