Do you still go to the cinemas?

With the easy access to download sites, do you just simply download the movies for free or do you still support the films by paying for a movie ticket? Admittedly, I download movies but I still watch the blockbuster ones when they go to the big screen.

Sometimes, when I gave in to my husband's request for us to see a movie. I'm a frugal person, so it would really take a lot of convincing for me to watch a movie. You would really use some money to buy the tickets and the popcorns. I would have preferred to watch dvds at home. But sometimes, you have to treat yourself. It is not all work.

True, once in a while we should treat ourselves sometimes. I only watch the blockbuster movies on the big screen though.

I agree. There are times that in order to enjoy a particular movie, you have to watch it on the big screen. :)

Hello yallit, Yes, I still go the movie theaters like 4 times a year. I also rent at Blockbuster but I tried those Netflix (the Red box)like vending machine at the Turkey Hills and they were showing movies we wanted to rent for a dollar but when you log in they were not in the list. I had to make sure they did not have my debit card number and make sure no one after was able to use it either. There was no cancel button. You have wait a few minutes before it clears itself out. I will never do that again. Thanks and have a great day! Sincerely unique16

It's been three years since the last time I watch a movie inside a cinema. My husband had been buying DVD movies and my son loves downloading movies as well so I think there's no way I can go to a cinema this time.

Since in our cinema was abolished the city many years ago, the only question is: Why has abolished the? I'll give all the answer: because people think it's much easier to stay in bed Lying and change the station whenever you do not agree to see or download the latest video free on the net without having to pay the ticket and supports him back guy who eats seeds in your head or kick drum in the back of your seat. I think the last movie I saw at the cinema in my town [when I was around 10 years] was a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, if I remember correctly.

I do love to go to the cinemas especially when the movie is a blockbuster hit or a movie I look forward to watch. There is nothing that can beat watching movie on a big screen with the usual popcorn and soda.

Yeah, most of the time it's better to just go to download sites and download a movie instead of going to a movie house to watch it because it's much cheaper and you don't have to commute. Sometimes I buy dvd's if my internet has no connection. I know buying pirated dvd's is illegal but I can't really afford to buy originals.

I love going to the cinema but it is just far too expensive so I have not been for over a year now. I have two young children though and I will take them to see cartoon films when they are old enough. Sometimes the cinema can a problem as at is nice to just sit in your own house and watch a film in your pajamas and pause the film if you want to go to the toilet or get a drink/food. Also there is the hasstle of getting babysitters when we can just wait till the kids are in bed and watch a film then. If I had more money I would probably go to the cinema more often.

We still watch cinema and support the movie industry. If we won't no more actor/actress will go for a movie if they will not get paid. Downloading and buying pirated products cuts the money that are supposed to be given to movie industry.

There are good movies that worth watching for in the big screen. Yes, I still go to cinemas especially when the leading actor or actress is my fave. Going out for a movie once in a while is good, it's a way of treating your self or spending time with love ones.

I usually simply download the movies for free. If I like the romantic air, I will go the cinemas with my husband. I remembered we went to cinema for three times before our marriage. We did not often go to cinema after marriage.

I'm a big fan of netflix. I don't have cable so I normally watch shows on netflix or hulu. If there's a movie that I'm really into I'll go to the cinema. If I'm only a little curious how the movie turned out I'll rent it from netflix.

I download movies too. Most of the time, I watch them on my laptop. It's free and very convenient. I still go to the cinemas though especially if it's a movie I have been anticipating to watch. Also, if someone or my friends ask me to watch a movie with them, and if my schedule permits me to, I watch them on the big screen. Nothing beats the big screen. It's still the best way to watch movies. Although they might come quite expensive at times. I consider going to the cinemas as a luxury than I can enjoy from time to time.

Yes I do. I still go to the cinema to watch good movies. The condition is, the cinema or now cineplex must have a very good sound system and facilities in it. The experience of watching movies in the ciniplex is really different from watching it from television or computer and so on. The colours of the movie, the sounds are so real if you watch the movie in cinema. But nowaday, the ticket is not that cheap anymore so I just go for a very good movie after I read/hear the reviews.

It's a little of both for me. I would prefer to go to the theater, as I love theater popcorn and pop, but the prices are usually through the roof! I look for deals, such as the one that I received for getting a tune-up on my car....2 free movie passes. That's a good deal, I would have been foolish to pass on that. lol I still haven't used them, though, and I've had them now for 5 months. This question just reminded me that I still have them, so maybe this weekend, I'll check to see what's in the theaters here.
