No matter your views on Abortion, this monster is nobody's "Doctor"

Abortionist, Kermit Gosnell (spit) has been charged with 8 counts of murder. The oxygen thief took scissors and pierced the spinal columns of 7 babies born alive. The 8th victim was a woman who trusted the fiend for medical care. “There were bags and bottles holding aborted fetuses were scattered throughout the building,” Williams said. “There were jars, lining shelves, with severed feet that he kept for no medical purpose.” I don't care what side of the abortion issue you prefer, but this bag of trash needs to be taken out. There is no excuse, reasoning away or defending this anal fissure. Sadly, there will be people who defend him, and there will be people who use this horror for political brownie points. Neither can claim any ounce of honesty, integrity or humanity. http://www.suntimes.com/news/nation/3388006-418/gosnell-williams-babies-charged-clinic.html

I don't care what anyone thinks about abortion. This person is a sick twisted person who obviously takes a bit too much pleasure of what he was doing. I'm sure he's not the only person like this out there. This is sickening, I can barely even read this without having the urge to throw up. To call him a monster would be an insult to monsters everyone. Just absolutely wretched and despicable. Just...I don't have any more words.

I heard a little about this and it will be interesting to see how it develops. He sounds like everything you've called him. There are some sick, evil people out there. I hope every one of those women can get some satisfaction for the murder of their children.

Ok now I'm getting really confused. Why would these women get satisfaction for the murder of their children? Really dragon? they went to an abortionist to get rid of their baby after carrying it in their bellies for months!!!! Why should they get any compensation at all out of this??? It's really a no win situation!! A beautiful and perfectly healthy baby got killed and for what reason?? The mother and the so-called doctor are equally guilty on this one.

Agreed, I'm betting the women didn't have a problem at all with the actions of the monster. They could see the horrible conditions, they knew who they were dealing with. For all we know, they were getting their money's worth. They were not victims of anything or anyone.

Sid, I'm thinking that the women were having therapeutic abortions where they had pre-eclampsia or another dangerous condition because very few women get abortions so late that the baby is born alive. I was assuming they were killing their children to save their own lives--something I could not do, personally, but I know it happens. Most women regret having abortions and these women, when they learn of what happened to their babies, will surely feel more emotional pain than usual. Most women regret murdering their babies and a lot of them get depressed or try to kill themselves. These 8 women will surely be aghast when they learn what happened. I'm not justifying it, I'm just saying that the usual regrets and anguish that most women suffer after an abortion (sometimes years after) would be intensified in these women and I hope they get some justice. Sure, they did a horrible thing that I can't imagine doing myself but I'm wiling to bet they had no idea they would produce a live child for this butcher to dispose of.

This is has to be one of the most horrific cases I have heard of. I also think the State regulators who ignored complaints about him and failed to visit or inspect his clinic since 1993 should also be held criminally accountable.

Absolutely horrid and I feel about the same way towards partial birth abortions, not a big fan of normal abortions either. I can not fathom the state of mind these people are in to do such things. I sincerely think some people must have been possessed to do the things they do without remorse or care. The sad thing is you are right, I am sure there are people tripping over themselves to run and defend this guy, half of which probably will only do it to advance their carrier. To quote Thomas Jefferson "Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever".

I'm not going to defend him. This man is indeed a monster, a murderer and a disgrace to the medical profession. He will be convicted and, hopefully, never breath air as a free man again.

Spalladino, we may be on different sides of the abortion issue, but I didn't expect for one second that any of my pro choice friends would defend, or even try to excuse this one.

Well I am a woman who HAS had an abortion so when it comes to NORMAL abortion discussions etc I DO NOT see it as murder blah blah blah..IN THIS CASE HOWEVER IT MOST CERTAINLY IS!! and I have to say that this sack of !!!! needs to be strung up, skinned, beaten and tortured...for starters....He preyed on the less fortunate which brings me to my next comment.. Someone said that the woman got satisfaction or hopefully they did etc BUT I think that is a mistake to say and quite frankly not fair. These arent/werent women (from what I'm gathering) that had (in their eyes) any other choice. They were from the sounds of it, women who DIDNT HAVE any type of insurance or the money to have things done in a safe, sterile environment. Maybe they were here illegally and feared goin to a REAL doctor or hospital out of fear of being caught being here. Looking at these woman simply as women who wanted an abortion is wrong all things considered IMO.

Yea but if you think about it...$200 is alot cheaper than several 100 to $1000+ for a hospital procedure if you dont have insurance. Man i'll tell ya, it FLOORS me (even after being in the U.S for 7 yrs now) how expensive medical care is over here EVEN WITH an insurance plan (being from Ontario I'm use to everything being covered ya know..). I mean they had to have had a valid (for lack of a better way to word it) reason for risking their lives by goin to this sack of *beep* ya know. I can't see someone who could afford to do it properly choosing not to and goin to him instead. Then again, ppl are strange

They went into the clinic, saw the body parts of babies in jars on shelves. They knew that they would be sedated and labor would be induced. They knew that a live birth would occur... then the baby would be killed. Now, I'll go along with the idea that some might not have known the full procedure, however, those who did... those who referred friends and were return customers. Those who knew what was going on, and continued going to him anyway. They are as inhuman, just as monstrous as this Dr. Mengele. If there is a difference it is ONLY in the number of murders they participated in.

Raven, it was a "cash only" service. Women with no money got no service. It was also a prescription medicine mill where anyone could to in and get a prescription for controlled substances at will. The women specifically sought him out for what they new were illegal abortions. They paid in cash (usually around $200 for a procedure).

Oh my gosh! I had not heard of this. How could anyone do such a thing is beyond me! That is murder, pure and simple. There is no excuse for this kind of cruelty for anyone! I will have to go research this!

He's actually a perfect example of WHY we want abortion to be legal ...to prevent this sort of malpractice!!! There was a time when guys like this guy were common. At least now they get caught and hopefully he will be prosecuted.

I'm sure there will be some who defend this monster, but I hope no one does it on front of me! I'm SO glad he's been charged with murder but 8 counts probably isn't even a fraction of a percent of how many murders he's actually committed! Ted, I agree, this really has nothing to do with anyone's personal view on abortion in general. It shouldn't be used politically by either side, but I'm sure it will be and that's unfortunate. Annie

I'm pretty open in my views. I have never and can't imagine myself ever having an abortion considering my personal convictions and still...don't judge others...they have their reasons that well...not in their situation so I don't judge. I am all about it being legal and mainly to keep doctors like this guy out of the picture!! He is evil. I am so very very against late term abortion...sorry, if a woman hasn't made up her mind by then...come on! I've seen footage on late term abortions and they are gross ...this is the grossest yet. Sorry..this guy deserves all that he gets..he is a murderer and I'm pro-choice.

TED: Dang! I was just about to post a letter re this guy, & you beat me to it! (G.M.T.A., eh? ) MAN but this dude is hideous in his soul! I pity the mothers & their babies both under this quack's "care!" I'm so glad he was outed! Absolutely horrid!! I watched yesterday on CNN as the Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams gave the most horrific descriptions of what witnesses had testified to before the grand jurors! I was just wondering ParaTed2, would you say in this instance, that this law enforcement official publicized too much of the evidence? Would you say that he somehow prejudiced possible jurors that would be empaneled to hear this evidence at a criminal trial?

Yes, actually I do think too much was released. I can't imagine that this information isn't going to make it harder to put together a impartial jury. The thing is though, all grand jury reports are public record, so there was no violation.

Yeah, while there were no violations of rights or laws... The publicity surrounding the case will make it more important for the judge to monitor the voir dire... it's going to be a nightmare all over.

Yupps! This is not a prosecution that would go to abortion rights ... to the contrary ... so, imagine the possible juror eliminations that will take place when asked, what are your feelings about the law of the land ... ah, the right to an abortion!! I'd venture to say that many will be allowed to pass on their duty to serve as a juror in this case!! As it should be. Just the empaneling of a non-biased jury could take YEARS!! You think?
