Mylot Has Improved My Typing Skills!!

There are a lot of things we learn being a member of mylot.I belong in a country wherein
English is not primary language.So being here is not really easy.I have to express myself
in English.Though,english is one of our subjects in school,still it is really hard express
what I what i want to convey to the readers.Most of the members of the site came from the country where English is their primary language. But as time goes by, i get to construct sentences and even paragraphs.It only means to say that i am learning a lot from the site.
Aside from learning good sentence construction, the site was able to help me to improve
my typing skills.In the year 2008,i can only type 20 to 25 words per minute,but this time i
can type 40 to 45 words per minute.not to fast but i consider this an acheivement to me.
what about you?did the site help you in your typing skills?share your opinion.happy mylotting!!

Oh yes. Mylot not only provides a platform to share our ideas and opinions at the same time it teaches other things as well.
I have one good example here who was not at all good in English sentence construction. Gross grammatical mistakes were numerable. But now he is a good lotter with considerable command over English.
I too admit that mylot has helped me write or type faster than before.

I am happy hearing this from you.the site is really helpful to everyone.the best
thing about this site is that they don't restrict the members.they don't care
whether in what country you are living.as long as you can express yourself here in
english, yiu are in.mylot is a great place for you to be a professional writer
someday.i started here writing 2 to 3 sentences,now i am ending up writing 5 to 7 sentences or sometimes two paragraphs depending upon on the discussion that is being
discussed.

Hello Rberon,
I am not sure about typing skills but one thing about typing is concern, i have learn to type again but this time with out looking at my key board. that when i used to type with one goal and that is to reached 500 post. by that time and after that, i was able to type here with out looking at the key board.
there was this one time that i helped my moms friend with the encoding some of her projects and she couldn't believe it was fast. all thanks to mylot. maybe my mom should have stayed here longer.

that's good to hear.it is really hard to type if you are not looking at the
keyboard.i have tried that before but i am not fast if i am not looking at
the keyboard.i commiy mistakes at once.
mylot should be given a credit on this.they serve as the training place to all
of us.they did not just taught us to express our feelings,ideas and emotions in
an elaborate way but also taught us on how to type words on the fastest way.

You got the positives right on. I have to say that I also improved my typing speed and skills by being on myLot. I didn't go to any typing classes but now I can type like a person who has been to one of them. There are a lot of advantages on being on mylot apart from making money.
One can learn new things and meet new people. Also we can improve our English as you pointed out correctly. We can learn from the people who are regular English speakers and converse. It helped me a lot when I wanted to take an English in exam for higher studies.

I am not tired of saying that mylot is extremely the best and it totally
different from other sites.i will never exchange this site to other forum sites
or to any social networking sites.mylot is already on its six years in the
internet world.i hope get to communicate with mylot admin.happy mylotting!!

mylot is useful for many members especially for members which english is not their main language..
i think mylot is so useful for me when give me many information and new vocabulary in my english..
ya, even it`s less useful for make or increase my typing skill when write english, but slow but sure, mylot give a good impact for it..

there is only one thing we can say about mylot.it is the BEST.It caters different
people around the globe from different walks of life regardless of their races,
cultures and beliefs.i'm so happy that i've been part of the site.every time
that i am sad,i just express it here.if i have to celebrate,i share it here.and
all the members are very supportive.they will do everything to help you on

Its good to know that you have personally benefited from the mylot experience. Where typing is concerned, practice makes perfect and the amount of typing needed to earn any substantial amount here will take plenty of practice. Writing a lot also helps to enhance spelling, grammar, and sentence structure so participating here is definately a good way to do that. Seems to me you write English rather well so keep up the practice. You will only get better.

You are right practice makes perfect.everytime we log in here,our typing,writing
and speaking skills is being measured.but it is not hard to do all this things
because you will learn all this things in the site and of course with the help

English is my primary language so I am used to typing in English. I don't have any problems typing, I think I type like 70 words per minute. But I do think that you type and have pretty good grammar for English not being your primary language. :)

good for you that you can type 70 words pr minute.that's amazing,maybe i can also do
that in the near future.it is quite hard for me to type striaghtly because i still
have to think of the translation of the word in english.
i graduated from a school where english is a mandatory language.we will be penalize
if we violated the rules of the school.that time,i am really annoyed with the
policy.now,i came to realize the purpose of the school.if i really follow the
school policy.i should have write better than this.

When I joined here I don't know anything even how to used the computer and typing is to slow. One time i saw my daughter left undone our computer desktop and because she was gone I don't know how to turn off the computer. Well I try to place mt hands on the keyboard and try to explore myself navigating until i found out that it was good. Then I studied everything that day I never stop until I didn't know the system. And I accidentally hit this site. You know I don't know who was is my referrer. All I did was signed up and be a member just to try mylot. An from tha t day I open this site and I begin to make discussions here and the funny thing was, my one post is equivalent to 30mins.

Ooh!!!thirty minutes???that's fine.it is really hard at the beginning but
as time goes by,we get to learn and we improve.it's good that you've been
curious with your desktop,because if not,you will not be in this site.
sometimes,being curious gives positive output.everything can be learned,
you just have to be very patient.and that is what you have done.congrats,
your hardwork is now being paid off.

Mylot improved my typing skills too. Before I couldn't type without looking at the keyboard, but now that I type a lot in mylot, I can now type without looking at the keyboard. It's fun! :). I think my wpm (words per minute) rate increased as well. It's because I try to answer discussions quickly so that I'll be able to answer a lot of discussions. I don't limit my answers to just a few lines too, so I type a lot of words.
English isn't also my 1st language, so I'm able to practice my English here. Though writing in english is very different from speaking in english, I feel like I'm able to enhance both, since mylot feels like i'm talking to other people. I'm not thinking before typing. I think as I type, which is a lot like speaking.

I also agree with you that speaking skills is also develop here.we are of the
same situation.i speak while writing because i come from a country which english
is not the primary language.so i have to think on what to say and still need to
translate it to english.as of now,it has already improved three to four of my
skills.my writing,speaking and typing skills.

Congrats my friend and glad to hear that myLot has improved your speed. I type 92 wpm, simply because key entering has been in a vast majority of all my jobs. I find that the less you use the skill the slower your rate drops.
I find myLot helps continue my speed as I find myself typing exactly what I am thinking. So to a sense myLot has correlated my thoughts with my speed, I would say that is a big plus as not much to dwell while thinking and typing.
Keep up the great work and you to will attain more.

wow! 92 words per minute?how do you do it?if i have that skill,i will
consider that as an asset and achievement to me.most of the time
i am also in front of the computer because that is also part of my job
but i can't type as fast as 92 words per minute.
but i'm sure i am just starting,in the end, i will improved.it is just like a ladder,it is a step by step process.happy mylotting!!

You have ambition honey! You are bilingual and you are fluent! I know some English speaking people who are very bad writers and worse keyboarders. You have both. You obviously strive to become better, never say never, and knock down every road block people put in your way! Excellent! And I would have never been able to "speak" to you had it not been for Mylot! Mylot rules! May you live long and prosper!

I have to give credit on the school that i graduated.from first year high school
until we graduate,they required us to speak in english.we will be suspended if
we will not abide the policy.at first we are hesitant to follow the guidelines
simply because we are not foreigneirs.but now, i came to realize that what
they have is for our own betterment.
to improve my writing and speaking skills, i will continue to read books and
listen english movies,so everytime that i will discuss here,it will be
informative and elaborative.happy mylotting!

You are absolutely right when i started mylot my avg speed was around 25 but now its above 35 in few mylot mylot has increase my speed and also i have learned many of my grammatical mistake that i used to make
and more important is that i have learned many thing from here all thanks to mylot

Good for you.you can consider it as an achievement of yours.we cannot get free
training outside mylot. if you are from a nationality which english is not a
primary language,you have to get a tutor that you will teach you and you have
to take note that what you will only learn is just the basic english and you
have to pay her.we are lucky that we are a member of the site because we get
it here for free

I strongly agree with you rberon. Mylot doesn't only us earn but they also train us to become fluent in writing english and of course in speed typing. I really really love mylot because they serves as a training for us. MABUHAY MYLOT!!!

we are getting free training here.i worked in a call center which english
is the required language.the site helps me in improving my speaking and
writing skills.and i can apply it on the job that i am currently doing.
there are words that are new to my ears and try to search it on mylot
search bar and find out the meaning of it.once i already knew,i store it on
my mind and use it the next time i post discussion.

Hi Rberon!
I'm not quite sure about my typing speed, I've been like this since I started working. The more time you spent in front of the computer the more you practice your hands working on the keyboard and can even type without looking on it.
I feel you about using English as our second language.
I remember during my primary level, I wasn't able to properly construct a sentence until I reached secondary which I had a very good teacher in English.
I've been working for many US based company. Since I started working English has always been the 1st language, and I'm still thankful that it helps me a lot in expressing what I wanted to say.
Mylot has a been great help in terms of exercising my communications skills, and learning new things about almost everything. :)

definitely correct.when i am at the office,i am in front of the computer and
when i am at home,i am also in front of the computer.but sometimes i cannot type
so fast because i am so tired from work.

Wow, good for you! I myself have noticed my typing speeding up, primarily because I'd like to make as many comments as I could! I noticed a lot of people who are not native speakers of English who are here as a sort-of practice, and I think that's good. I myself am not a native English speaker but putting my thoughs into writing here in MyLot is very helpful since a second language need to be practiced continually.

you are very lucky because you are a typist.it is an advantage on your part,i am just
being curious on how many posts can you make everyday here.i bet it is really many.
but i suggest that you make it quite longer and be more informative so you will
have a good earning here.i hope accessing the internet is allowed at the office so
i can do mylotting!but ubfortunately,the company is very strict.i might render
resignation in the company and i will try to transfer in a company where the employees
are allowed to access the internet.

hi rberon you do so well here its hard to believe English is your se cond language. I have improved my own typing skills if I always keep my hands in the standard position I was taught many years ago in typing class in
high school.lol I graduated in 1944 right in the midst of W orld war 2 and our graduating class had only 2 boys in it as they were 4F and so were not made to be drafted.My speed gets cut down when I make stupid typos and if I get upset over that I will make more. odd how our
minds will work like that,I have watched so many people from other count4ries improve immensely in their typing and their Engish skills.
I often wonder if I would do that well trying to type and learn a whole
new language. I think kids who learn other languages do better than us adults do for some reason. I know I have had a hard time trying to learn and remember Spanish and French.

during my computer subject in my high school year, we were taught in the standard
position of the hands when we are typing.honesly, i just followed it during the
subject but if i am already out,i only make use of two to three fingers in typing.
i can't type very fast and it is really hard for me to type if it is the standard
position.if i will follow the standard position of fingers in typing,maybe i can only
post 5 to 7 posts in my whole stay in the site.

While I did not focus on typing while using Mylot, it does contribute to my improved English. While I cannot say that I have become Shakespeare or not, but I have definitely improved.
It is good that people are benefitting from this site.

myLot did not improved my typing skills but it did improved me grammar and being informative. I like writing and giving opinions. Because of myLot, I can make now a meaningful paragraph which I had a hard time when I was studying. I can just write 3 to 4 sentences because I was always running out of idea. myLot is very helpful to me.

sentences because i am running out of idea,but as time goes by,my writing ability
has improved.i can already construct paragaraph.i can express myself and i become
informative.whatever happen i will not leave the site,i will do my very best to get
