Opposite opinions.

I think I am getting better at this 'agreeing to disagree' thing. Maybe I'm not so stubborn after all(yeah right) but I can see other's perspectives and sometimes it's not so bad. I can get offended but sometimes, I like how other's opinions make me think. Or is it just that I'm easily influenced?

No not easily influenced but more like open-minded. Here for instance I will never go into a war, why I have enough offline, this is suppose to be fun. So I can accept an opposing comment, so I simply read it and re-read it, often times although I may not fully agree, I see some ring of truth. So I can agree to disagree, wish them well and sleep comfortably.

That's cool. I don't think that you are easily influenced. I think that it is smart to be open-minded about things.

Well I don't change my opinion just because of what I hear from others, but I consider that new information and sometimes my opinions do change, other times they don't.

That's true, it's not that I don't change my opinion because I hear others, it just gives me another perspective while keeping to what I stated.

I like the opinions of others too. They can really bring a different perspective and they can also spice up a discussion. I appreciate any opinion that is given in a respectful manner.

For me being reactive is not a only solution to show the disagreeableness. Sometime I get opinion from people that I simply cannot relay on but I don't shout, just shut my mouth off. I don't always feel to disagree when the opposition is so stubborn and feel like my opinion won't be welcomed and respected well. In this case, believing in myself and leave the matter is a possible solution for me. I'm not so energetic to discuss and argue and giving logic after logic while I know it's not gonna work. I find no point of wasting my time and energy for disagreeing someone's established opinion and views...I just feel sorry....and go with the flow..

I agree. That sounds like a smart move. And in the end we just know what we, ourselves agree on.

I wouldn't say that I'm the perfect case but I like to hear other's opinions. Sometimes this helps you to correct your way of thinking. But I know people who are so introspective that they are not able to be flexible. This is bad for themselves. And to agree doesn't always mean that you are influenced.

That's true. I realized that it's not like I'm changing my mind, just considering the other options/opinions.

Opinions are neither right or wrong they are how a person feels about something. I like to hear others opinions cause they can really lead to some good discussions. I will not get into an argument over someones opinions but try to find out why they formed them.

That's a good approach. To see where they're coming from.

I wonder if it's not just human nature..sometimes I feel the same way...and I have to also agree to disagree and sometimes just keep my mouth shut! LOL...though sometimes when I am right about something....and I know for sure I am and have info to back it up...I do tend to be a bit more firm. I have a gal at work that sometimes doesn't get all the facts straight....then she'll argue that she is right? I don't disagree...but keep my mouth shut! LOL

After living life for awhile one learns taht each of us has a different point of view. This is one thing that makes humans so interesting. The more open you are to this the better you get along with the rest of us.

If I learned anything, there are going to be a wide variety of opinions in the world. Some where I agree with them. Others where I sort of disagree with them, but I can see what that person is talking about and coming from. Then there is those opinions where I completely disagree with but that person is entitled to their opinion. Then there is an opinion that is so misinformed that I cannot help but hang my head in disgust. I think I try to live a balance perspective. You cannot get the most out of the life without hearing all sides and all different perspectives. There are many ways where you can get something interesting out of a disagreement, because it helped engage your mind and get you thinking. I don't think its being influenced easily but rather your mind being opened for new thoughts and ideas. At least that is the way I see things.

That's soo true. In the end, there will be different opinions that I will have to react to differently in a given situation. Balance is always the key.
