I'll be on leave on 1st week of February to process my SSS ID and my mom as well. Friends told me how hard it is to get it now since all of the id machines are broken. :( Any idea if there is still some SSS branch where we can process our IDs? It doesn't matter how long will I receive my SSS id since my friend got hers after 1yr of applying for it so I expect it would take that very long. It is really sad that they seems like not doing anything about this matter and it's causing too much trouble for us. I have to take a vacation leave just to process this kind of ID.

Have you tried checking if they have any online business transactions for processing id's? I think we really have to go to their office because they have to get pictures for our id's but the thing is i have seen the lines in the SSS office here in Cebu that there is a very long line for processing it. I think they have to find a way to make this procedure fast so we won't have to wait too long, or in your case have to file a leave in your job to be able to process your SSS ID. An online application maybe or we can file the application form at home and just go to the office once we are ready with the requirements and the form. Well i really do hope our government offices will be changing it's system so as people paying them won't be hassled by the way they organize things.

Hi Gaiza! That is so true. They should have foreseen it coming and they should have work on some solutions on how they're going to manage the ID system. It is really a hassle for working people. My colleague says that it may take 2 days because of the cut off time of the application and the photo capture have to be done on the next day. They should have made a process for an appointment just like the passport procedure, in that way they can control the number of people going to their office and people would not have to wait for a long time and they can process the photo capture in just one day. It is not fair for us who are paying every month for this kind of service. *sigh*

I already stopped paying my SSS since i really never saw any advantages on my part, well for now. Maybe in the future i will be able to see how important SSS is. Their service is really bad and really hoping they will be making more improvements on it.

The last I heard is that the only place where you can apply for an SSS ID is at SSS Main in East Avenue. You will file your application form there and they will set the appointment for your ID capture, that is, when you shall have your picture and biometrics taken. They have to schedule the ID capture because, it seems that SSS QC is the only SSS office with a functional ID machine. It would be good if you go there early so that you will get a good headstart. And oh, don't forget to bring 2 valid IDs with you.

Hi Blungel! Thank you for that update. I have checked a blog site and they removed San Juan branch as one of the branches that has ID capture machines which made me sad that I would have to go through all the hassle of going to the main office. I agree of being an early bird but what I can't accept is that I have to go back there for the ID picture. I don't have all the time in the world and sometimes too lazy. LOL.

The only SSS branch that process ID is at the main located at QC, please check for the full address. Since all machine are for repair, that is the only branch who admits ID processing. As advice by an SSS officer, she said that this year 2011, they will have a new ID machine in any branch in which SSS/Philhealth & Pag-ibig will merge in 1(one) ID. But there is no advice yet when this will start. I guess the machines are not yet ready for pull-out.

Wow that is really cool if we will be able to combine all of those in just one ID. Less hassle for all Filipinos. I do hope they would do something about it. That's our initial plan to go to QC for the ID. But I'm still looking for other options there might be still one that is working? Thanks for sharing! :)

I think what you can do is to wait until SSS could process your ID. Mine took a long time too and this matter has been explained by SSS, their reason? The machines are broken, other than that, no more. A great example how agencies and institutions work and serve the people.

Yes, you will get your ID after a year. That's fine as long they will process it and that I can present the temporary receipt for my loan application. :)
