Hi Shibham, To be honest, I dont care if you ban me from mylot because of this, but yes, I dont like Gandhi and his philosophy. I have been a student of political science and have done quite a lot of research on this. I dont like his ideologies. What is being preached about Gandhiji in today's India and the world is a biased thing just because we are not supposed to think negative about the Father of the Nation. All that is happening in India and also between India, Pakistan are just due to his ideologies. His policies of Non-Violence has made India lazy and corrupt. I have many many evidences and can put up those. But for here just one - Think of any Nation you call developed and look into its history - you would find bloodshed for achieving Independence - Call it War of Independence or anything but there were losses and personal losses - this made people of those countries realize the IMPORTANCE and MEANING of FREEDOM. Now coming to the Facebook thing - I dont see anything wrong on that (if I was biased I would have said a FIRM - NO THAT IS NOT DONE) It is just creativity and thoughts... People also have been morphing Gods, and what not so who cares if the Gandhi was morphed... At least I dont.

I really get confused when people start making sense, or at least think like me. I thought I was unique.

Well... Have you ever configure yourself in front of Gandhi's figure ? I have seen a musician creating remix on the Rabindra sangeet and fighting for it's identity and people accepted later because he has quality to invent something good which people liked and understood later ... But sitting alone in our home on our computer and telling "I hate Gandhi" , then who the hell are you and who ask you whether you like him or not ? Thanks,

That's horrible! Ghandi was one of the really great people who make a difference in the world and still inspires people. The person who made that page is sick and I feel very sorry for them.

Hiya shibs, Should not be allowed any kind of hate page anywhere. There are far too many of them and for other People too. This one I have just followed is terrible and not worthy of even looking at. In my opinion. Shibs I don´t follow these kind of Pages I block them if they try to get me into a Group or anything. I just don´t have time for these "hate" People I only have time to write with the People I know already and not a load of "hatemongers" it´s just too bad that they don´t cancel their Page altogether.

Hiya shibs, I appreciate what you think too you know. I cannot understand the ways of these People. Why pick on someone who is not here to defend himself and not able to either as we can while being on the Earth I mean. He probably does listen to things like that but he cannot make himself heard for us to hear him. Don´t know why they cannot divert their hate to some other channel of expressing it go and sing their hate stuff say in the Bathroom where no one can hear them. Better still they should learn to keep quiet and not project that hate stuff out into the World one Day it might bounce back on them. After all they are only hurting themselves in the long run. Have a great Day shibs.

Realise what is what - Themetic representation for what to do
Hi dear, We can stop unwanted problems by touching on such topics. People are really looking for any inappropriate movements from anywhere it will affect or attract implications. From me, there is no comment on this topic. If we look on the internet, we can still see so much of stuff like that and don't care of such things. Thank-s

You can report or block it if you find it offensive FB will decide to ban the person or not but you don't have to deal with something you don't like to see Maybe some people don't like Gandhi but I can't see anyone lowering him into a s ex lust whatever that page said

No mel... I am not a farm visitor to facebook and thats why i dont know how to report...... but its true that if someone has bad conceptions towards Gandhi, then he/she should not express it publicly so that it can hurt those followers of his personality. Have a nice day.

Shibham- I am not from India, but I do hold a great deal of respect for Gandhi and his ideas. I feel that his ideas of non violence are something that all of us should aspire to, and not that you are doing nothing but that much can be done when one uses his intelligence and not his brawn. However, that said, like anyone who tries to bring peace the further away we move from their actual life the further the message becomes distorted. I am unsure how Facebook works in terms of "hate groups". I know friends have reported such groups before but they always seem to spring up because of the thin line surrounding freedom of speech. So long as no one is threatening to do physical harm to another even the US FBI will do very little about hate groups as they are simply exercising their freedom of speech. If it were me and I were offended with such a group I'd simply move on. If it is that you support this, then perhaps I'd find another way to share it. I find that when one makes logical arguments and presents them in an intelligent fashion one can have a truly deep discourse. I find that when resorts to characterizations, jokes, or the like that the discourse is lost and what you have is a lot of mudslinging. Namaste-Anora

Vandana- The problem I see is that every nation seems to believe they are the only ones that have problems. The UK has the very same problem right now. America, where I live, has the same problem right now. It's a GLOBAL issue, and I think that we can learn a great deal from history. I despise violence and think it is unnecessary. Do not think your country is the only one and that you are alone in your struggle. Many of us are going through the very same things right now. We must begin to consider everyone, globally if we are to fix the problem, and I believe it can be done without violence. Namaste-Anora

vandi, can we relate Gandhi with this economical differences? I think no, I am also not a farm follower to each and every ideology of Gandhi. Yet, there are some philosophies and logics... thoughts... which work for me and i think for everybody. Someone may hate him but you should not express it properly where no one can counter him/her. have a nice day. specially thanks to Anora for her nice speech. Thanks to vandie too.

Hi Anora, anything stretched too far can be bad. In India, we have a situation where the poor are on the course of non-violence because that is the legacy Gandhi left us, and the rich are stealing shamelessly and stashing in Swiss banks. Please read what Swiss bank officials have to say. The poor starve, the middle class struggles, the rich enjoy.

Ha, free speech in action. They say it takes all types of people to make the world go round. I didn't take a look, but I have no time to waste on that person's negativity. I would rather read something that talks about Ghandi's positive attributes. I remember going to the theater to see the movie about him when I was young. It was so long there had to be an intermission in the middle; that was a very significant thing in the U.S. and served to show how important he and his story were. It's also a big deal to ask people to sit through a three hour movie, and many people did. Ghandi is revered and respected the world over for his belief in human rights. Whether someone agrees with his position on non-violence or not, he should still be respected. Any person who would post the words "I hate..." has a problem no of the rest of us can solve with discussion on myLot or Facebook. It's too bad people have to select "like" on FB in order to leave a comment on a page. However, most people, like this troublemaker are too emotional to think clearly about things like this. If they subscribed to the same faith and belief that Ghandi did, they would ignore this person and spend their time moving forward towards deeper enlightenment. I often think about how Mother Theresa kept her resolve and had such strong faith when surely she must have had bad days. I know it had to be the same for Ghandi as it was for Martin Luther King and other civil rights pioneers who found themselves suddenly thrust in a situation over a battle for what was right. Those people are admired for their strength and fortitude and nothing some idiot posts on FB will ever change that.

Hi canellita.... after a long while with you. Nice to meet you here again. I apologize that i have commented here after a week. Actually i am busy elsewhere. Okay, i think he/she is a perverted person who declared him/herself as a nasty supporter of Gandhi. My opinion is he/she should not focus this opinion publicly where the controversy may arise. have a nice day.

Gandhi is just human. As humans, he's does not perfect. He did not escape from wrong and mistakes. And in my opinion, extremely humane if there are people who hate Gandhi because it's part of the community assessment.

Hi Shiby - long ago I read an article on Gandhi which made me realize that he might have been nothing more than a sham, an image deliberately created in the minds of people, to get them to follow him. Do you know anybody who is perfect, a 100 percent? Then how could Gandhi have been? Do you really believe he was? I dont. Give me a break. I am 52, and blessed with more logics.

Vandana- Gandhi himself never claimed to be perfect, in fact far from it. Though, I am not old enough to have heard him in person or meet with him so I cannot tell you what he would have said. However, I have read many articles by people who did spend time with him and they all seemed to agree with his approach and had hoped that it would become widespread because Imperialism was getting people no where quickly. If not for the salt strikes organized by Gandhi, places like the USA would never have seen fair trade products. I'm a huge supporter of fair trade and tend to buy products marked as such. The last dress I bought came from India and was marked fair trade. I just prefer to do business that way. Namaste-Anora

Already said vandie that as a human being Gandhi had both merits and demerits. His non violence ideology never worked at all. Again, the hindu-muslim conflict is still here where he fueled somehow. But we should not mistreat him after decade. At least he is called The father of nation. Anora you are truly right.
