It depends on where I'm going to. Let's say I'm going to Starbucks, or any coffee shop that has WiFi, then I'd have to. Because I can only seem to write in those ambient places. However, it's a pain to bring around... My laptop is as big as a stove, don't ask. Sometimes, when I feel compelled to write, I just take out my iPad. It works, because I e-mail myself what I wrote.

yes generally when i go out, i take my notebook (a 10 inch one) with me because most of the time i go out with my camera and take a lot of pictures and that is the reason why i always carry it. i want to transfer the pictures and also take a look at how the pictures are coming. also while traveling it is very easy to book hotels and all if you are carrying a laptop with an internet connection.

No i don't take my laptop with me when i go outside. Because i really feel uncomfortable when i carry it. My laptop is so heavy so i don't feel relax if i arry it. But if i go another city or another country for visit or something else then sometime i carry it. Otherwise i don't carry it.

Hey Dreamsharmin, your laptop must be very heavy because it must be a lot of weight if thats the reason why you dont take your laptop with you. The iPad is about only a pound haha. I would recommend you to get a Netbook or something they are smaller less heavier and it isnt as powerful but it will do its job haha.. :)

I take neither. They are both too large and, I have my iPod touch for Internet access. A laptop or Netbook is not very useful on the go, it may come in handy if you're sitting somewhere like a coffee shop, but I dont see the point. I don't usually take my laptop put of the house.

Personally, I only have a laptop. But still I think that if I had a netbook I would still take the laptop with me. Simply because I normally use a lot of processing power and have a lot of things running on my computer at one time. So for me I would need to take my laptop.

Hey Paul, I have a iPad and When ever I go out to a Vet appointment or a library fathers house, sisters, aunts whom ever I just take it with me. There are hotspots almost everyone now and days haha. So getting WiFi is just easy. But yeah I take it almost every where with me. and I rarly take my netbook or my laptop. Right now my plans are to get a Macbook Pro 2011 Model. It should be coming out soon. :) I know for a fact I will be taking it every where with me haha. I will take both of them with me I love my APPLE haha.

Hey Paul, the iPad is a Awsome device and I would recommend it to anyone I really do. I thought the same way you Paul and wonder if it was easy to type on the iPad. I'm sure apple wanted make it a great experience. Also a easy and less tress experience. To be honest most of the time I'm typing on my iPad on MYLOT haha. It's that easy haha really is. I want to buy a case where it comes with a Bluetooth keyboard and im going to use that to make it even better or more like a computer. The keyboard is just a like a normal keyboard but you you don't have to hold shift to get a symbol it's a awesome device and if you arr thinking about getting one go for it it will be worth it or do what I sod look at videos on YouTube and go test it out yourself at a local apple store or best buy :)

When I go out, I don't bring my laptop, I think sitting in front of the internet is boring enough, when I get to go out, I don't want to do anything with computer...

I don't have a netbook but my laptop is small enough to take along. It's as small as most of the other netbooks. But if I do have both, I'd probably take my netbook since I might only be using it to surf the net and check some mails. Besides, it's less expensive than a laptop so if anything untoward happens, like it gets damaged, it wouldn't be that too expensive to have it repaired or replaced.

Nope, don't even have a laptop. I like and prefer my desktop. I just do not need to be that connected all the time. I do carry my cell with me and in a pinch, I can access the internet, but my cell usually stays in my truck. I do not carry my phone into public places with me. I have no intentions of sharing my private conversations with other customers or patrons. Those e-mails and voice messages will still be there when I feel like checking them.

Hi there paulgoodman67!!! No I don't usually bring my laptop with me.It is becoz I think it is heavy and I don't use it often at work.I only bring it whenever I need to present a project and report. But most of the time I leave my laptop at home to lessen the things that I needed to carry while going to school or at work. I don't really have that much time to face my laptop while at work and it also goes the the same whenever I am at school.I don't want my laptop to be the reason why I will have a hard time in moving and doing something. My laptop is quite heavy and I don't want to bother my friends if I will be bringing my laptop with me.

I only have a laptop and thats all I need. These days most things that people do online can be done with a laptop nowadays. Tablets are going to replace the Netbooks soon I think.

I do have a laptop, and I carry it along whenever I travel. I have to tarvel on my business trips quite often within the country and also abroad. So, I need the laptop to keep in touch with the people back at my office, and for working on matters related to work while traveling. A laptop is a necessity for me.

I bought this laptop after I returned from China to the US for medical treatment. I had it in my hotel room the whole time I was there until I was admitted to the hospital. My brother kept it at his house until I was recovered enough from surgery that I was able to use it. It stayed with me for most of the week I was in the hospital and then it has been with me since I checked into this motel. I use it all the time. I think when I start going for chemo, I might leave it here because I don't know how safe it will be to have it in the chemo center and if they even have wireless internet. Perhaps if they do, I might take it to my treatments to make the time pass a little faster.

When I know that I'll be going someplace where I can hook up my laptop, then yes, I bring Ory along (that's the name of my laptop. hihi). Or if I'll go on vacation, somewhere that I'll take a long time, or somewhere that I might be bored, I bring Ory along. If it's just short trips, I bring my android tab. :)

I used to but now i can go without. But when i go out of town, it has to be with me coz i need it in my work. I am just wondering why we are hooked to these new technologies. It is like we can't live without. Yesterday i opened my discussion not able to leave my house without my cellphone. It is just weird that we tend to forget everything except our electronic gadgets.

Sometimes I take my laptop with me but only on occasion. If I want to put music on at a friends house I'll do this sometimes. Or if me and my boyfriend want to do something online at the same time I'll bring it with me. I brought it to school once but that was because we weren't supposed to do a lot that day. If I had a netbook I'd probably bring it everywhere though. Haha. :] They're really cool.
