Last Christmas vacation, I started baked cupcakes and a store owner in our neighborhood sold them. I was happy with the outcome. I wish I could have more time to bake now. As of now, I stopped because I still have a day job to keep.

It is good that you have many work experiences. Perhaps you can find a partner and do both? Eric

@ manilatop10 Thank you. I'm going to finish my contract in my current job. After that, I'm going to try to look for another job but while doing that, I'll get myself busy starting a real business....a bakeshop. @annavi23 Hahahaha! I wish I had! Actually, my mom helps me with my baking. She also wants to learn how to decorate and apply icing on cakes.

hello mspitot & annavi23 ... I have met a lot of workers who get little in the way of transition assistance when their contracts are up which is disappointing for companies that are earning huge profits! As for the baking business, perhaps you could create a unique brand for Typhoons? Not to make light of the devastating impact of storms that ravage land, homes and take lives but there is a lot of humanitarian assistance already given. Why not introduce a cup cake that is iced or topped (ur skillset) with the storm names and introduce some cheer to the survivors? For example, you would have had the MEGI cup cake last year and it would have given you an opportunity to demonstrate your creative side, team with a sponsor while at the same time feeding some youngsters and perhaps making a brand name for yourself. If either of you would like to share concepts & ideas, feel free to contact me via twitter etc. Best wishes! Eric

I have to earn more. I am supporting my brother in his expenses at school. I can't even save money now. We are saving my mom's income because we want to build a house.

I think that it is great to have something else on the side other than your full time job. Obviously you have a talent for making cupcakes and it financially helps both yourself and the store owner that sells them. I think we all would wish for more time to do things like this, especially if you profit well from it and enjoy it also. Hopefully you could carry on doing this on odd occasions when or if you get any free time.

Thanks! I earn but not that much cause I did not bake that much. The price was also low cause it was sold here in our small village. In the future, I want to have a real stall or shop.
