Do you know a lot of the singers are evil...

Recently, I realized something on Youtube. Some people post the videos of a lot of the singers' song backwards and they actually mean something really bad. For example, Kate Perry's I kissed a girl, Rihanna's Umbrella etc...Besides that, they actually said they sold their soul to the devil... I just don't understand why they have to do this in order to get famous? Can't you just sing song, performance? I thuoght it was so scary when I realize it means "something" in the song... And these days, a lot of the teenagers just follow their idol, follow their dress code or hand gestures that they do but they don't really understand what the gesture means... Do you know anything about this topic?

Iskayz is right. This is an old issue. Actually, I think it goes back to the '70s. It became a household discussion that some parents had even prohibited their children to listen to those artists' songs. Quite reminiscent in the pre-rock and roll era where many conservative people saw that form of music as coming from the devil himself. But I really don't think there's any truth to this especially in this present day of ours where technology can do almost about anything to anything.

Well, some people have taken it to extremes in handling this issue but at the end of the if someone does not believe in the basic body, soul & spirit truth, it makes no sense to take this any further with them. It's basically boils down to a clash of believes

Ooh, Gloomy Sunday. I love that song. It's a sad song, and come to think of it, after listening to it for the nth time, I'm still alive.

You people can't be serious...Do you all think the tooth fairy is responsible for cavities, too? There are no demonic messages in songs, there are no "signs of the devil" in cartoons. People just make this crap up to convince the ignorant masses that anything popular or famous is "evil" and should be avoided. None of it is true, much less the whole "pop culture is controlled by the Illuminati". Stop being so absurd.

This is actually an old issue. I've heard about this way back in the 80s, songs that when run or played backwards you'll hear evil talking. During that time people who believe they were true were criticizing the song Hotel California, but the song was a hit. and nothing has been proven that it's evil. I love that song but I am not evil or a member of any secret society. I think they're just rumors and people may tend to believe what they like to believe. Have a good day everyone! Ciao!

wow...i thought i was like the only one who really knew about this and found it pretty disturbing...i actually started a discussion about this called "illuminati in pop culture". i have done alot of research on this. it was my husband's best friend that got me into it. he gave me and my friend this dvd to watch that was all about this subject. i was so scared because i was a huge fan of alot of people that were on it like beyonce. the guy that made the dvd (he was a pastor actually) had alot of background information that dated back to the Bible days...all the signs were there. i was pretty devastated because i really love music

My husband was searching music and stuff ther other night and we came across this, I had goose bump when I acknowledged that... I used to think oh this song has a good melody or I like the beat but actually it is so bad behind... I thought it was an coincidence that one song was like this but when we searched more, not only just songgs but the dancing in their MTV also means something... scary

I didn't think Katie Perry's songs were all that morally sound played forward. Honestly, I think the idea that singers are trying to inject demonic messages into their songs is just ridicules. I mean... you have to play them backwards in order to hear the "messages". And I don't know about you but all I hear is a bunch of gibberish unless there's someone "translating" the garbled lyrics. You hear what they say you hear because they've told you to hear it. It's just nonsense.

I honestly don't think there's any intentional messages in a song played backwards. Listen to any song played backwards and you could hear pretty much anything. I think it's all just gibberish and you shouldn't read anything into it or let others tell you there's something there when there isn't.

Watch there hands, for they also show Luciferian symbols with them. You'd be surprised how many of those symbols are also present in The Simpsons! Also, I am to believe they don't pertain to an actualy "Devil" but to a secret society- I think it is the Illuminati or something; not too sure on which one.

Yep, they are teaching kids how to behave, just like a person teaches their dog how to behave. It is really not a good thing. Symbols are supposed to be very powerful when it comes to energy. They very well could be harnessing peoples energy. The whole energy thing isn't all fake and magic like either, it is very real. If someone teases and torments you, you will feel bad(losing energy), and they will feel all proud and mighty(gaining your energy). This sort of thing has been suppressed over time though, so it is not very heard of anymore. Plus, they try to label people who believe such things as maniacal and delirious, through the use of TV, Movies, etc... You may be interested in hearing this one fellows radio shows, which he posts over youtube, because he gets in depth with this sort of thing. Also, he is very easy to listen to, since he has a very nice voice. I think the username is aodscarecrow or something, just type that into youtube and it will take you to him.

Good grief, no they don't. I work in Hollywood with a lot of these people, they are not agents of the devil or doing the devil's work.

Haha!~If the devil himself appears in front of someone & ask them to work for him, chances are 99.99% will faint instantly. I don't think he's that dumb, he's just subtle & uses approaches that seem acceptable yet if you're sensitive enough, your conscience will not sit right

this comes up from time to time. I remember that in the eighties, I think the seventies too, they said the same thing about playing records backwards. I don't think it was true then, and it's not true now. any messages that are revealed backwards are probably put there in a tongue in cheek way, in a nod to this daft idea. I don't beleive that any singer has sold their soul to the devil. I don't beleive that to be possible.

As a musician of over 30 years who has worked in a number of studios and did production on a lot of my own music, I can assure you this is impossible. You could not possibly write lyrics that made any sense when played backwards and still make sense when listened to normally, nor is there any amount of engineering or digital altering that can achieve this. These "messages" are nothing more than your find filling in things it cannot make out. Your ears hears what should be speech but cannot make out specific known words so your brain fills it in with what it thinks it should be based on the sounds of words you hear every day. This is the same thing with the so called "evp" recordings those hokey paranormal shows talk about. It's just the brain doing what it does.

That's quite shocking and saddening at the same time. If the rumors are true then it means I have been patronizing artists who seem to involve themselves in cult-like activities. Maybe I should really just turn to Christian music fully.

Hi rawwire and mermaidivy, I think the reason behind this issue is people always relate wealth with evil. When someone gets rich and famous some people have the idea that they're selling their souls to the devil. Why? People can be wealthy by doing hard work, don't we?

hi I am really not aware of such things, but what you said is really very interesting. I would say that not only the singers, but all of us have been evil in our lives some times or the other. I can surely say that about myself coz i know that i am not a saint or a Godly human being.

personally I think those who look too hard can find anything to twist it into a "evil" thing. Do you normally play your music backwards? If so why? Are you looking for some thing because there is no other reason to do so.

Wow, you made me have a great laugh I hope you're just joking and don't seriously believe in what you're saying Many religion fanatics are so obsessed with satanic stuff that will take satanic messages from anything, even from under a stone. It's a good way to keep religious kids under control, saying "you shouldn't like that because it's satanic!". There's no such a thing as really seelling your soul to the devil, at least outside fiction

i dont think there's anything to it, when you play a song backward.... imo, those ppl saying that are just misleading people from the actual issue.... i believe they can put subliminal messages in anything, songs, commercials, whatever as long as you are listening or watching it, i mean those messages cant be heard right, so we don't even know if we are already being hypnotized when we play a song i dont like katy perry's songs except for hot and cold and her new one "firework" dont know bwt selling souls, but maybe she had some backers, coz she or even lady gaga wouldn't really make it big if there's no one backing up their careers

Well, yeah a friend of mine once showed me a video clip in you tube about a song from a famous artist which is played back wards, i was really scared because i watched the video so close to the TV with only a step away..and it really made me have goose bumps and cold sweats all over me, then we began talking how did that happen? i mean, i know Satan belongs here in the world that we live, but don't tell me he's using those famous artists to spread his message? oh my! right now i'm really having chills on my nape! shhhheeeezzzzzz...
