Living With An Actor, I so love it

I am very fortunate/blessed to live with an Actor as I get to see him in so many different plays, taping of films and commercials. We travel many times depending on where and what show/plays he is doing. I am also the program designer for the Ensemble so I get to attend and be behind the scenes of a great many of them. Last night was the premier of Trouble In Mind and it was a hit, despite the fact that we had two more feet of snow, which shows theater is loved by many here. After the opening of any show the ensemble always has dinner and cocktails for all the attendees and cast members. This is always done for opening and the closing of each and every show. Does your community theater company do the same?? The play was a hit and I have to say so was I, lol.. I have not really had such an abundance of cocktails in a while and well it was for free so my mind today is a bit troubled.. When was the last time you attended a premiered play in your community and over did the cocktails a bit too much??

Living with an Actor! I am too happy for you.... For me, it wont work now as there is not one place where I can find such an opportunity... The last time I did get closest to the plays or theater was when at college and I was the one who was playing the role of Art Director - I was responsible for the stage and the backdrops thing... it was completely a college affair and yes, one of those actors is now a local film actor - he acts in Oriya Movies... but I havent seen any of his movies.

Yes living with my boyfriend is always exciting as the I get to see and be part of so many shows.. I really did not care to much for theater until I met him and I have to say I have a great deal of respect for the arts. The actors and production staff are so passionate. My boyfriend is not only an actor but a director also. I am so proud of him as he loves the arts.

@GF: Really That is great... sometime when I would be around, I would like to get introduced to a few of the actors for sure(I would be old by then no doubt but still a Hi and a handshake will be fine). Yes, the people who love arts are great souls... my wife is one of these Art lovers and wants me to accompany her to the classical music sessions here... Someday I will make it happen(accompany her)... @Suny: Jharsuguda? What were you doing there? Do you stay here at Orissa?

Actually in india, especially in my andhrapradesh, the fans are become too crazy about their favorite film star. In the first day of releasing the famous star movie, there will a festival for fans. But a normal audience have no chance to see the premier. We are happy and enjoying the of releasing the movie in the theatre only. You are really lucky. have a niceday.

I do feel very lucky and blessed as not only is he a great actor with many Jeff Awards but he is truly a wonderful man. He has done so many different Plays portraying so many different personalities and yet still remain very grounded and not allow his head to swell. Theater is a whole different type of world where as many should attend and see how wonderful it really is. Something about live theater that you get a much more feel for the actual story.

It's been awhile since I've been to a play. And, when I did attend I didn't partake in any adult beverages. I have to try that though, with the right companion. Now, a question for you. Is your man a drama king? Some people believe that actors and actresses have to have a bit of an eccentric side to do what they do. Does your actor?

No drama king in him, in fact he is such a loving, passionate and passive person. I have been finally blessed with a man who is really caring and loving towards me. He is so passive and so respectful. I have yet to meet any eccentric actors. They have so much love for theater and it spills over into their personal lives.

I love reading your updates about your partner. When I was in high school we used to attend a local theater quite a bit and they would all have dinner out at a local restaurant at the finale, so it was fun to go and get to see and meet. I think my favorite production was Dracula, as it is one of my favorite stories. Namaste-Anora

Thanks Anora, I am so fortunate to be with him as I get first hand of all the production in the making. It is so much fun to see all the actors evolve into each and every role they are in. I too like Dracula also. Prior to meeting my boyfriend I was not into theater so much, but since I have to say I really love it as I know so many actors personally and to watch them on stage portraying their parts is wonderful.

LOL, especially when the cocktails are free my friend.. I especially love that they have a wide assortment and I proved that last night as I woke up like a turtle. Theater is quite fun, my friend as I get to meet so many wonderful actors and watch them evolve into characters. I do like that I design the programs as each attendee takes one home with them and has my name within the production staff so hoping all others can see my work, and you never know I just might make it a greater plan for me too. Thanks so much for responding.

It's really what all of us including me could be really proud of, and too top it all you get a lot of cocktail as an added bonus!

Attending live theater is quite an experience and one that I so enjoy for five years now as I did not really appreciate it so much prior to meeting my boyfriend. Since I have he has given this wonderful opportunity to be involved in it ans I have come to appreciate the arts ever since. As for the cocktails, yeah it had been a long while since I over did it and boy did I ever as yesterday I felt like a turtle and was not able to function as hyped as I normally do. So it will be a while before I do so again, as I have 8 weeks to rest before the closing were I will over indulge again in the wonderful food and the wide selections of cocktails.

Not everybody has the chance to meet an actor let alone live with one. So you are very lucky to be the chosen one. I can imagine how exciting your life is rubbing shoulders with other screen idols and dining with the rich and famous entertaining personalities. I can only share your joy. I wish I have the chance to attend a premiered play but have not heard of anything like that in my place.

Sorry that where you live there is no live theatrical. Maybe some day you will get the opporutnity to do so if you travel. As it is the most wonderful experience to watch the actors live out their character roles on live stage. I do feel very blessed to be with my boyfriend, primarily because he is a wonderful man and secondarily for the opportunities of sharing his acting life. Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. Have a wonderful day.

oh my gosh hardworkinggurl the last time I was at a stage play was durning my last year ofn the U to get my degree. I was out with the flu butg my instructor knew that for me to get an A in his class I must attend this play The Importance Of Being Earnest and write a review of it. In spite of having a sore throat the acting was superb and I went home thatevening and wrote my review. I was afraid at age 56 that I would not get but a D on it I received an A which countered the latin exam I flunked and broght my final average to a 3.4 on graduating. I had made up my mind that I was going to get that BA in English even if I never did a darned thing with it. And I did too. I do envy you as it must really be fun and exciting living with an actor and getting to see a lot of really great plays. i

Hi Mrs Hatley Quite fun indeed, as I get to see all his performances as well as his fellow actor friends. I have met some true live famous actors through him which makes it more fun too. He is also Directing now so it has been quite an adventure and fun to see him behind the scenes also. Congrats on your BA in English that was quite an accomplishment and one so deserving. It is not easy to do that and you apparently did great.

Live theater Jen is so much fun especially for me as I know so many of the actors personally. It is a joy to see them evolve with each role they portray on stage. The food is always excellent and the drinks are always abundant so I am one who indulges on those particular days. Then I turtle through the next day with a slight smug, yet a half grin as I remember the fun I had the day prior. It is especially fun for me as I have attended many fundraiser benefits which has afforded me to meet several celebrities, I am living it up and loving it.

Hiya HWG, No have never been or had the pleasure of attending one of those Premieres like I see on the Television a few times. Nor have I had so many Cocktail Drinks to choose from. It must be really exciting to live with an Actor though yes it really must be. I can only imagine what it´s like to live with an Actor how lucky. Glad the Play was a hit though and that he has many more of them. Sounds like real fun all this what I am reading here. Good luck HWG.

Hiya HWG, Wow I would not mind going to one of those. I have attended Plays at the Schools when my Sons were in them and their Friends but of course although it´s the same kind of atmosphere it´s not altogether like what you mention. I once went to see a Friend in a Drama Play but it was on a very modest scale but even so I enjoy them. Pantomime is a great favourite of mine too. At the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre there were a few good Pantomimes on there when we were at School.

Hello, During my college years, i undergone a theater arts workshop and i became one of the performers on stage. It was one of the tough training i had in my life but one thing i treasured most was the stage hopping we had. We traveled from city to city performing on stage wherein we could see and hear the reactions of the audience while performing and after. It was a great fulfillment experienced i have. The bonding between the casts , the get together occasions and most of it the finding of dear friends in life that until now still a good friend of mine. Because of that i discovered my talent and now i buried it. In the bigger scene we are all actors and actresses and everyone plays their roles exactly according to their own will.

Glad to hear that you have had the formal actor training as to me looking from out in seems to be a very rewarding experience. I do find that all of us somehow portray a great many roles in life and some of us can do well, while others really struggle. The get together's are quite fun as I get to join in all the fun as well. Thanks so much for stopping by and responding.

Wow my dear friend, you're such a lucky girl!!! When I read the title of your post,I said,"really??!!" LOL! How I wish I'm fortunate like you, lol! I'm a fan of so many actors here in our country and honestly,I've seen only two of them in person. Well, one actor is really unforgettable 'cause he said I LOVE YOU TO ME,OMG!!! He was looking straight into my eyes not to mention the crowd in front of him and I was at the side of the stage and he happens to look at me and say those words,OMG AGAIN,lol!!! All the girls stared at me,maybe they were asking who am I,lol! That was really unforgattable my friend! As for the question, can't remember the last time I attended a premier night, maybe I was still single that time, hehe! As for the cocktails after a premier play, haven't attended one yet, lol!

Hello my sweet friend, nice to see you again. I am very blessed to be with my boyfriend as he has shown me a wonderful side of the arts, for which I have come to appreciate a great deal. I know what you mean as at first when I met a great many of the actresses I use to be looked at sort of weird as to what made me so special. HA! It was not long after that they have warmed up to me and like me very much. I so love the theater as I enjoy watching all the Ensamble members portray so many different roles and bring the characters to life. I am having the time of my life and each time I go to the premier's and the closing of shows, the food and the cocktails are a great incentive for my attendance.

I do love my boyfriend and am one not to list personal information on the web as I too do runway modeling and a few years ago my ex-husband thought it was funny to post some pictures of me on the net, which I had no wrights as they belonged to the charity that I work for. It cost me a year in a half and high attorney fees, while in the end I came out okay but a hard lesson to have learned. So you will have to take my word for the fact that I am so blessed and lucky. As living with my boyfriend has been the most wonderful experiences I have come to be blessed with. I can certainly tell you that he is well known here in IL and does a great job with his acting.

Hi Albert, I so love the theater as it has afforded me the pleasure of meeting wonderful and great actors/celebrities. It is like a dream come true when I attend benefits for the Ensamble and greeted by well known Actors who donate their time so that the Ensamble theater Company benefits largely. I do know The Bell Of Silence and it has been made into several versions. My boyfriend recently did It's A Wonderful Life, radio play for which he had 13 character voice overs, wow that was hilarious and wonderful to have seen. It takes a great deal of work and talent to be able to voice over and dub.
