There are advantages and disadvantages of using a Social Network sites, well its up to us if we will make all our photos, feeling be publish in public. It's just a week ago when I began being active in our batchmate page, when I see a comment from an old classmate that our classmate/batchmate is suffering from Tuberculosis and in need of an operation. I raised the topic too and ask anyone if they can give help to our classmate. It's good that many of our classmates & batchmates pledge for help and there are few who trust me enough to send money to me. That is our only way of communicating to each other, some ask for my contact info. I'm happy that there are people who is willing to help even though they forgot the person that needed help. I myself don't know him personally, after High School I haven't had any connection with most of them. The beauty of Facebook is that it can be a medium of connection with old friends and classmates and our never planned help to our classmate/batchmate. Thank God there are good people who cares enough and value life.

Hi! It makes an interesting reading to hear that you made a good use of Facebook and you connected with your friends for a real cause. I think these kind of social netwroking sites help in connecting with others for helping someone or for a noble cause and I think many use it this way.

In fact, this is the first time I help someone using this site. I know someone who became my FB friend who made a page for the kids in their outreach program and she constantly. She post many pictures of their outreach program and you can see that they are for real. I hope one day I will be able to help the kids thru her in my little way. ^ ^

I think thats was really sweet what you and you friend do to help your sick friend. You had use Facebook for good cause. I don't add many friend in there, its just for a friend I know so not all classmate go there. I think I am the person who hold my privacy and can not share many think in my life there just something in general. I got many of my friend whith updated their status every hours with not really important news. I think thats was to much and seem just looking for unnecessary attention.

Last Sunday we went to visit him at his house, we gave the money and he's about to shed a tear but we make the room happy cause that serves as a small reunion for us. Most of our batchmate were added in my profile, it's nice to see them, all I had was a memory when we are still kids.

Hi, social media is actually a powerful tool for communication. Besides the fact the it help us connect w/ long lost friends, it is also a fast moving medium. A topic/issue spilled on facebook will reach hundreds and thousands of people in a day. I believe, it depends on how we use it. Some use it as a business medium too, w/c is found to be effective as well. :)

I also wanted to have an online store but afraid that I might not succeed plus don't have the time for shipping. After a few days of my post, I received numerous responses and I'm glad that they took it seriously. Thanks and have a good day!
