I got a new cell phone back in June because it was supposed to have a better camera and I had a special event coming up.It turned out that I did not get to take but a few pictures because it took so long to get to the camera.....push this and that . Since then I have had a lot of problems with it,other then that.I have to push about 4 or 5 things before I can make or answer a call.I have missed calls because of this. The phone has called people when I am no where near it and I talk to those people later and they ask me why I called them and just laid the phone down and they could hear what was going on around here. I will buy another phone when I can afford it.A normal phone with buttons! Which do you prefer?

Hi Dear Dfollin! I also prefer normal phone with buttons. As the touch screens create unnecessary troubles when we least expect from to do so! I have accidentally got my phone connected to my sister's phone and she could hear the conversation between myself and my wife while we were travelling in car!She later on called me to tell this! It was really a farce! Apart from that at this old age of 50 my finger tips are no more sharp or pointed! They are broad and blunt ones which makes them unfit to be used on the screen as many a times a wrong thing is activated instead of one which was supposed to be! At least with the normal phone with push buttons we can know that we have pressed a particular button and we are sure to get the thing what we have pressed! Thus operations on this type of phones become much easier! I too had a touch screen phone which is till working but I have retired it and I am using a phone with normal buttons ! Thanks !

Hey Dfollin, Touch Screen Phones and if not smart phones are whats the most popular items in the mobile Phone world haha. I did have 1 touch screen phone and mess with many it just sounds like you have a bad phone that doesnt fit you haha. To be honest I am 19 years old and I like full keyboard phones that aren't virtual and just a button keyboard. It feels better to me and I like to look at the screen and not worry about messing it up and just making the screen dirty. I would say just try and test out some phone and see how that works out. good luck

I will choose the old one because more comfortable and it's easy to use. The old is not easily broke when the times if is fall but the buttons type it's good quality and easily broke.

When cell phones first came outg, our only option was buttons. Then the magic of touch screens came along. I like the touch screens, but i don't like the fingerprints.

Hi dont have problems w/ both touchscreen/button phones (except qwerty keypads). But I am using Samsung Star w/ wifi now (I am not sure though if this is still available), but I find it user friendly. It has a touch button on the side for camera and volume. For the keypad, you can have it in a regular mode, just like in a button phone and on a qwerty mode (you have to use a stylus). But do look for other phone models too. Nokia X3-02 is a good phone w/ button keypads :)

In the past I had the cellphones with buttons and I liked it. Then I bought a touch screen cellphone. At first I didn't get used to it. But as time goes by, I am used to it and I start to like it. I think it is much more convenient to surf the net with a touch screen. The buttons are not so important for me today. This is why I even don't want to have a keyboard for my cellphone. I love China

I have always preferred button phones. It is a lot easier to control them. I can't picture having a touch screen because I'm afraid it would be too touchy. I have had people call me like that and I would hear what was going on and I would finally hang up because no one was talking to me. Oh well...

Hi. dfollin. I would prefer to have a phone that has buttons on it. It is so much more easier to navigate. I don't like having a phone with a screen. My husband and sister have one of these phones. My cousin does too. It looks easy, but I just would rather have a phone that has buttons on it instead. I don't think that I would like it when my phone dials someone else number to where they can hear me in the background. My husband told me that this happened to him with his Blackberry phone, so he went out and bought a phone case that has plastic around it. It keeps his phone from dialing while it is one the side of him. To me, I would get so tired of holding this kind of phone. My hands would get numb from all of the typing and holding.

I have used both, but I do prefer the touchscreen over the button ones. I will agree that with a touchscreen, you can hit something you weren't wanting to, as I do it all the time, but I like them better, as I don't have to press that hard, just barely touch it, and it does what I need it to. I am enjoying my phone, even though it doesn't have flash as of yet, but due to get it in a short time. I am glad I bought it, and for now, I will just keep it, as I can't afford to get another phone and pay full price. Take care, and have a very good day.

I preferred touch screen phones because i am already used to it. Your experience maybe shows that you are not yet familiar with your phone. I have samsung mobile and i do not have hard time like you. what unit and brand of phone you are using? I will suggest you to buy normal phone with buttons because touchscreen phones are so sensitive. Happy Mylotting

hi, Actually i prefer buttons only because most of the people like to use a cell for a long time and keep it neat and clean.A cell with buttons can also be roughly handled as it doesnt get spoiled too quickly.Where as if you take in the case of touch screen you must handle it with utmost care otherwise the display gets damage and the repairs can cost you dearly. So i prefer a cell with buttons as i know that i cant take most care to my cell

Yup phone that has buttons is way easier to be used but I prefer to use touch screen phone since for the past years that's what Ive been used to use and the screen is much bigger than a button phone and its quite more techy looking on my opinion, but it wont be easy since it is quite prone to damage since you tap to the screen unlike with the buttons its not as delicate the the screen.

Personally I'm not a big fan of touch screen, even if I've loved some of my windows mobile devices. I see touch screen devices has big disadvantages. What I actually observed with my HTC before, is their big screen, and big screen leads to low battery life. And of course just like the other people concern is you need to be very careful when pressing something on the screen, or you might mess up everything and start all over again. Touch screen devices has no additional keys and this means when an apps crashes, without crashing the OS, you can't get to the main menu as the whole screen becomes unresponsive. Lately I also realized that touchscreen means screens can't be read too well in direct sunlight as it applies an additional not 100% transparent. Most user interfaces are not optimized for thumb operation, so a stylus in necessary, and this means using two hands. This devices usually have low precision, virtual QWERTY keyboards being one of the most annoying things. And they also require massive computing power which leads to slow devices and low battery life. I've listed a lot of disadvantages on this so called must-have gadgets, that's why I decided to stick with my nokia expressmusic.. hehe

To be honest w/u i wouldn't give u a nickel for every cell phone in the world. I have one but never use it & get so tired of seeing people talk on them while they are driving, shopping etc. I think they are a pest & can't believe how dependant people are on them. Didn't mean to vent on u but this is one of my pet peeves.

I think I would prefer both feature. I don't like to type SMS on the screen but I like to look at the pictures with the touch screen, it's more convenient to swtich to the next pictures.
