This has never happened before, hoping it was a one time thing.

Ok, I'm used to having to copy body text just in case my discussions don't post, I've been doing that for years after losing long discussions when trying to post them. However, I was just responding to a topic, clicked submit, and was brought right back to the topic page. It's a good thing that my response was fairly short, which is pretty unusual for me, but it was still pretty annoying. I didn't even copy the post in case it got lost, it was so short and only took me a couple of minutes to write it, I felt it wasn't justified. Have you ever had that happen? I don't mean going to a blank screen, but right back to the topic and having to reply over again.

I don't think I did that, I usually have my hands off my keyboard when I post topics.

This was the fist time it happened to me like that. Other times it just goes to a blank screen.

Yes dear Kris, I too faced this problem many a times in the past! There after I have made a point that I will copy the discussion after editing it in every aspect before posting, as I am having an habit of writing big responses and once a response is lost, then it becomes very difficult for us to reconstruct the topic. Thus is because I keep on typing the ideas as they are coming to my mind and I don't have any plot for any discussion ready in my mind. So such discussions where we are pouring our hearts, if thy get vanished then we are bound to feel bad! I can understand your problem and we need to take this as part and parcel of the game and accept the things as they are! Thanks!

Yes, that has happened to me too a number of times. It is quite disappointing and frustrating. I am not sure why that happens, whether it is the fault of my computer. I tried copy/paste way some times to be on the safe side.

I think I've had that but I try pressing back and sometimes the post will reappear with my whole comment still intact which is always handy enough. There's nothing worse than when you write something which took awhile and you lose the whole post especially if your like me and still don't have the 500 posts to even copy and past the text in.

It's happened to me quite a few times. And I ALWAYS forget to copy the text...just in case. If it happens, I remember to copy for that particular session...but then I forget the next time I log in. Due to lack of time, I usually have short replies, so I just re-type it...or if I am frustrated, leave the discussion or bookmark it to have a look later.

I've experienced that a couple times in the past but it's been a while since it's happened to me. I guess there is going to be a few issues here and there with so many posts going on all the time here. Hopefully it doesn't happen again to you. Best of luck.

i think that has happened to me a time or two. I can't remember what I did though....it was either go back a page and it showed up or re-freshed that page and the text showed up. Annoying just the same.

I can't recall that ever happening to me, but I can imagine it is very frustrating having to post it all again. I will ge blank pages, but not ever brought back to the topic page. I have accidentally deleted my responses before I submitted, them, and needless to say, that was very frustrating, especially when it was a really long response, and sad to say, I didn't copy it down, so I just had to do it again, and I think I did forget some things I wanted to say, but I did get them dong again anyway. I wish you the best of luck, and happy mylotting.

I'm using my phone as a means to post and participate here and I've been having problems far worse than yours. Consider yourself lucky.

It happened to me too, a lot of times. I got used to copy the whole text before posting it, just in case I need to go back and paste it again. Of course, I also forgot another lot of times and a few of them had my post lost for ever. Some times this was due to my ISP failing to connect, so I got an error from browser and had to go back, with the empty screen. Others MyLot was down when I want to post. And before I was on 500 posts, I had to comfront that limitation of no copy-paste on the posts, you know, that MyLot doesn't like to see you pasting into the fields and wants you to type everything. It was particularly annoying at those times. Fortunately there is an easy workaround to bypass that restriction.
