Hi lakshmi,
Though I am not a woman I know what menopause means for woman. That you feel all bad and irritating and seeing only the darker side of the things are the normal symptoms. What can help you is to keep yourself busy and think that not only you bit all women do face this phase.
I know some women getting more active and enthusiastic at this point of time to suppress the feeling of depression. If you feel too bad about it see a psychiatrist or a counselor.
Even men face this state between 45 and 50. Their action however is slightly different than yours. Be positive and feel happy.

Thank you krajibg, for your comment!
I just feel like that for maybe a day or two, after that I am o.k. again. So I don't need professional help. I just wanted to know if there is anything I can do to make myself feel better at that time.

My wife had this when she was 51, she had frequent mood swings, kind of depression like, we quarreled at times, now she is 60, no more symptoms.

I am going through the same ordeal of menopausal syndrome. I don't have depression but have this palpitation that makes me nervous and cautious of my condition. My Ob-Gyne Doctor suggested that I have this Hormone therapy that I refused. I want to get over this syndrome as natural as I can just like my mother and elder sister. I'm taking some herbal tea (green Tea and Melatonin ) that helps in relaxing my mood and normalizing my heartbeats.

Welcome to mylot
Glad to know you have less problem compared to others, for some it is more for some it is less, take it light and age gracefully lol
I am running 58 now, i started having irregular menses, heavy bleeding when i was just 40, followed by premenopause syndromes, may be it was too early.
I had hot flashes, headache, irritation, getting angry easily
