What is the one thing that you couldn't live without?

I saw another post about someone who had had a burglary and had some things stolen and it got me to thinking. DO I have anything around the house that I just couldn't live without? Other than family of course, is there something in your home that means so much to you that you would just be devestated if something were to happen to it? Maybe something handed down from a relative or something like that? I'm curious to see how others feel about their material possessions.

My laptop is my number one. Mainly because with a computer there is so much you can do. Communication, shopping, ordering food those are just of the very few things.

Great choice. I'd be lost without internet access. Thanks for responding.

I think I cannot without my family. My family is the most important thing to me.

If there is something that will make me die if anything is gone, it would be the guidance and love of my parents for me. I have proved it. I make lots of wrong decisions without them. I fail without them. I get easily sad without them. So maybe if theyre gone, I will die.

My first answer to this question is a practical one. I have an accordion file with all of my important documents and that's probably the only thing I'll save if I have say, seconds to evacuate in case of a fire. But if we're talking about sentimentality and value, then I would say I wouldn't be able to live without this old picture album of when I was a baby. All of the people I love that have passed on are captured smiling in those old photographs. I would fight my way through a burning house just to be able to get that album out. =)

Old personal items given to me by my grandson, granddaughter, mom and grandmother. I would definitely live without the items other than the givers. There are some books I would never be able to replace which would be a real bummer. But, again, I would live through it. Things I have had around for so many years it would be different to not see them around. But always fun to go shop for new things, eh?

The only thing that would really kill me to be without is my computer. I don't care much about possessions, but my computer is such a big part of my life that being without is drives me crazy. My old computer broke down three times in one year, and because I don't have transportation and have to wait for a ride, I was without it for up to two weeks. I couldn't stand it. All my writing is on my computer, so I could do without the internet if I had to, but losing my writing might make me want to kill myself.

Other than my husband and daughter of course, I can't think of a single thing. I'd go CLOSE to crazy without the internet, but I could hold on and stop myself from going all the way around the bend, I think.

If there is a thing that I cannot live without, it would probably a cellphone. My mobile phone is very important for me because it is what I use in communicating with my family and friends. I do not go out from our house without bringing my cellphone. I do not care much if it is the new model or not. As long as I am able to communicate with my love ones, I am fine with it.

my TV and computer. I love every item in my house though even if I don't use them lol, but those are the 2 things that I would be devestated without.

There are of course a few things that are essential for me in my house. One of them is a refrigertator. I am not a good cook. I can't cook any thing well except boiling water for making coffee in the morning at breakfast time. So, for lunch and dinner, I would most of the time go to restaurants, or just have microwaveable snack-packs. So, I have to have a stock of those snack-packs in the refrigerator.

except my family and my husband..when it comes to material thing... I think it will be my wedding ring and jewelry... because its not the price but most of them were given by my husband and my mom... lots of beautiful stories behind it..and everytime I will look in it,simply makes me smile... it is something thats has a sentimental value to me:)
