I was insomnia now. In my country now is five o'clock in the morning. Insomnia has been also a few days ago. Is there any way to avoid it? My friend told me drink milk can avoid this problem. But it looks no use to me. Any suggest to me?

you could try melatonin to help you sleep. you can get it at grocery stores and you body produces it naturally anyways, you are just helping it along.

A lot of times, I will eat yogurt before going to sleep and that sometimes helps. It is like drinking milk. I know a lot of people have success with milk and cookies (something in the combination soothes the body, but I don't recall the details). Sometimes calcium and magnesium are lacking in the diet and that might cause the problem. Do you get much exercise during the day? Maybe go for a long run/walk/bike ride or something in the afternoon and don't try to sleep for several hours after that. Maybe just take a stroll and look at something in the distance before trying to sleep (not a power walk, just a leisurely stroll). I hope something helps.

Warm milk, not cold, should help you feel sleepy. You should also stop using your computer a while before you go to bed. Do you read in bed? Agood relaxing book (not a thriller) might help or even watching television at a low volume once you get to bed. I drink herbal tes made from lime flowers and that knocks me out as soon as I hit the pillow whatever time I go to bed.

I am not used to reading in bed. But sometimes I used to listen some relaxing song before I go to bed.

Their are many known treatment known out there which you could get from suggestion from friends, medical review and per personal experiences. I learn to watch boring television or movies, read a book or count until my eyes get tired, yawn and then have a good sleep. Some think drinking warm milk, little exercise before bedtime or take a bath could help. You just need to try until you fond out the best treatment for your insomnia. Or you could listen to slow beat music such as instrumental or classical as the melody could make you felt sleepy. hope that helps.

I would so as mysdianait, suggest by drinking some warm tea about 1 hour before bedtime and not being on the computer at least one hour before bedtime. I would start with going to bed the first day late, but putting your alarm for early the next day. Then decrease the late hour by one hour then following days but still waking up early. It is like retraining your body to synchronize with sleep. Best of luck and I hope you are resting well soon.

i agree with drinking warm milk, you can add honey on it to add flavor if you want. yogurt is also common because it's also a dairy product, meaning it's also made of milk. so it may also help you sleep. accompanied with drinking a warm milk, try doing activities that would help you put to sleep like reading, watching tv, exercising, etc. if nothing else work, try consulting your medical doctor and seek for proper advice.

This seems to be a big problem these days for many, I suffer from this and I find the only time I seem to get a good night sleep is when I really tire myself out during the day, mentally and physically...other than that you have to train your system like gouing to bed at the same time and not using your bedroom for anything but sleeping, like training your brain.
