http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_weekend/20110218/ts_yblog_weekend/mindless-eating says: - light colored kitchen and dining room makes for less eating ... - smaller plates usually makes us eat less, or plates with a darker bigger rim (design) with a smaller white center makes people fill-up less - eating by taking a plateful from the kitchen as opposed to eating on a a fully served table, makes one eat less because mot people skip having to stand, go to kitchen and get another helping ... ... among others What do you think ?

What you got on your discussion is more of tips one how to make an ambiance or environment to help you eat less or to help you avoid eating too much. Bright colors make you eat more because of some psychological effect on you or something. One thing that helped me with this kind of strategy is when I eat using a smaller plate because there's not much room for extra food. Also chewing your food slowly also helps.

Interesting, I can agree with the last one and the 2nd one. I wonder what the psychology is for the big light room? I heard white walls make people feel calm.
