Depends on what you are looking at. Beauty is in the eyes of beholders. Some people have totally different opinion toward good looking. You are right, maybe good looking meant more than just superficial, or surface beauty, it also involve in internal beauty. Not all good looking people have good looking heart though. So, take it as a consideration too.

Hi syoti! Whoever quoted that is deceived by what he/she sees. His/her judgments are based only on physical attributes. Those kinds of justifications are so low in value. Well just don't mind what those kinds of person say because it is not of much value. What's important is that you know the right thing. Keep it with you and show them. NO that statement is so untrue. I have seen tons of people that were just the opposite. Actually if the personality of the person attracts you, appearance doesn't really matter.

That's so not true. I see so many couples that, sometimes, I keep asking myself: what she saw on him? Or the opposite. It's bad because sometimes when the people see a not attractive guy with a beautiful woman, they immediatly think that the man is a rich guy.

I believe that statement would be from somebody who will end up lonely in the end. Looks only last so long. Intelligence, personality and a sense of humor last forever.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To one person beautiful may be ugly in anothers eye.

Each of us has a sense of beauty which is totally subjective. The same with ugly. I have known several people who were considered ugly, but were so beautiful on the inside and such kind people, as soon as one knew them one never saw the ugly again. The same with beauty, physical beauty is not a cover for an ugly soul for long.

That is a silly statement isn’t it? I agree with you that personality goes a lot further than just looks and beauty is in the eye of the beholder therefore subjective. I think that it is great to take care of one’s appearance but too much emphasis is placed on how people look and it takes away from a good spirit and a warm heart which are the best beauty assets of all.

Hi syoti: first of all let's define the meaning of 'ugly'and 'good looking'. For me a nice personality or a person that makes me laugh could be sexy even if she's not that good looking. I don't agree with this statement because people are not only their physical appereance. A world with just beautiful people might be boring I think. ALVARO

Eyes are very important. If you look very deep and effective so you are very beautiful and I agree with you, good personality is the most important for people.

Too bad, first impression counts more than anything else. IMagine yourself walking on the street, coming across 2 girls, one is really pretty while the other is slightly below averge, where would your attention be? On the pretty girl or slightly below average?? haha =D Beauty is more precious when we have good personality but it takes time to do so.. haha In the first place, having the courage to go hang out with an 'ugly' girl, is not easy to come by too.. lol =D

Well there is no hard and fast rule like such. Anyone can like anyone , because beauty lies in the eyes of the viewer not always in a face. I have seen couples which are totally opposite in looks but still shares a very good relationship. Also on a funny note we say, " Unlike charges attract"lol So I dont seem to agree with the statement "Ugly is meant for Ugly, Goodlooking for goodlooking only".

I beg to disagree on this as we really cannot say who we fall in love with. I see a lot of pretty girls with uhmm.. not so good looking guys and they look so happy together and 2 goodlooking people are not a 100% guarantee that they will bw happy.

Who ever made that shout out got lots of self confidence but too bad! People should not be discriminated by how they look, or in any other way. We are all unique in our own way, each has something to offer and each has to share in this what is called humanity!

I believe in that too. A lot of good looking people are with plain looking people. It's because they don't look at the outside appearance of the person but on the inside personality. Beauty is useless, if you have no brains, much more if you have a bad character.
