So we here in the North east got some more snow yesterday. It stopped by lunch time and warmed up just enough to spend a good amount of time out in the woods. So I bundled up my four little chickies and we went for a walk in the woods. It was so quite and beautiful. We just wandered around looking at animal tracks and other signs of life we could find. Loved it. I cannot wait fro spring and hiking season so we can be out there all the time!

I remember a year or so ago I took afew Winter walks but not anymore. My arthritis hurts too bad in the Winter. Aches clear done to the bone. I look forward to Spring. Certainly hope I will feel alittle better. I love to hike around in our foothills and up in the mountains. Beautiful places around here in Idaho.

I have had arthritis since I was 5 and I find the more I do the less the aches worsen over time. The worst they ever where was when I was on bed rest with baby number one. The cold does make my knee bad though so I started wearing a heat bag in my knee brace ( I have to wear all the time due to the arthritis) and the heat helps keep the joint loose while I am out and about. It will be nice when the snow is gone though as walking in it and sand kill my knee worse then the cold does.

Yes, that is definitely a big part of the problem. Lack of exercise. I don't do much at all. I mean nothing basically. Just on my bed being online. That's about it. I have pretty much given up. Pathetic, huh? Glad the heat bag works for you. Sounds like you get around pretty good. That is great!

lately it has been too cold to be outside for any lengths of time (except last friday, the temperature went up to +10c) but like you, i cannot wait til spring to start walking! i like being outside (unless its really hot - which we get up here in canada too.)
